Excellent - I may yet interest my husband in the Sims with objects like these! I was going to ask if you'd consider completing the katana with a wakizashi/tanto, too... please?

It's already complete. I was just waiting to see if psistorm would mind if I uploaded it, seeing as it was his model I used. However, seeing as his not responding, I'll upload it.

Oh and I changed the catalog description for English and Spanish to include the wakizashi and tanto.

thx for the positive response :D

@Kuiosikle: I dont mind the added deco at all, its a great addition
I was thinking about doing it myself, but given that this was my first object for ts2, I wanted to go with something simple

@alessbarb: thanks for the translation & fixing the icon. Ill post the updated zip tomorrow (its real late over here and I desperately need sleep -_-)
btw: care to tell me how you fixed it? that might become handy for other releases I plan

Finally... my sims have been needing some sharp shiney objects in their homes... the bread knifes just don't cut it.

Awesome work on both of them. Thank you, Thank you!

The english catalogue description says:

Quote:
Katana, Wakizashi and Tanto set
These Japanese swords were manufactured by one of japans best weapon smiths. They show excellence in detail and make a stylish decoration set on the walls of every asian-inspired house.

If you can help in the translations this fabulous decorative object could be finished... just post them here and the language that are written...

Psistorm: Just added the texture to the Large Image File section in SimPE I'm not sure if this is correct.... but it worked...

Eh? What do you mean "can go together"? You could have them both at the same time before.

Oh ok, I just misunderstood you. I thought you meant that you did something to the package files to make them suddenly be used together.

Looks more NoDachi than Katana but love it still. And I second the European Swords call. A Bastard Sword would look cool beside this in my museum.

Italian:
Quote:
Serie di Katana, Wakizashi e Tanto
Queste spade giapponese sono state forgiate per un maestro d'arma giapponese. I dettagli squisiti fanno la delizia di una decorazione tipica orientale

Sweet, now I can make my house look even more like mine. Looks a lot like my katana! Thanks for this.
Now I just need some in a floor-mount to cover my others.
Again, awesome work.
