Thank you so much for this. Now I can make my swimable pond and not have to be ashamed to use it in my storytelling. You have saved the next chapter of my story! It als worked great for putting under a decorative hut roof type thing, no ugly edges sticking out from underneath. Yay!

Frillen, I've used your invisible tile in a lot I uploaded here and one of the downloaders was very confused because it got removed after moving sims in and out. This is logical I guess, since it's cloned from a plant, but actually doesn't make a lot of sense -- it's a build mode thing after all (or at least it behaves like one), not something that sims would buy and take with them.

Is it possible to somehow change this behaviour?

Wouldn't the "stay things shrub" (Simlogical I think) prevent this from happening?

My pantyhose say so.

It would. I agree with plasticbox, though, that it should be intrinsic to the object itself.

I would also like to thank plasticbox for advertising this in one of his threads.

Of course it goes without saying that I want to thank frillen for posting the set in the first place.

Thanks so much! Now I have a swimmable lake that I don't have to put plants in to hide tile edges.

I think your pond water surface hider is exactly what I need--I'm building a community aquarium, and I have a two storey tank made from the swimming pool, with the fish from both Maxis fish tanks (minus original tanks) placed on invisible slot files in groups--but I've been going nuts for quite awhile, trying to figure out some way to include an exhibit of the pond fish that can be viewed through some sort of window, but the pond water keeps getting in the way!

With some funky wall building, I think I can finally pull it off

And as much as I've always wanted a swimmable pond, those floor tile edges have always deterred me...

I'm going to have a look at your Blue Water Camping lot, and see what new possibilites open--I've already thought of frustrating building situations that I can use all three of these tools in.

Cheers!
Suzanne

Well, I'm no expert in aquarium building, but I think I know something that could help you. First, start with your lot. Get the ground tool or whatever and make the ground 2 stories lower than ground level if you want the tank to be two stories high (any height you want) then, with the moveobjects on cheat, put in two stories of plain wall up against the sides of the hole. Then, using this: http://modthesims.info/download.php?t=131531 or something similar, place full wall glass windows in. (They should cover the entire wall so it looks like a wall of glass and no bars or anything.) Then, using the water tool, cover all of the land from the side of the wall out, then use stairs to make the little room accessible for your sims. Hope this helps!
