This download is a custom pose or animation. This means that you will need the Pose Player or Animation Player mod by cmomoney installed in order to use the download in your game.
Picked Upload! This is a picked upload! It showcases some of the best talent and creativity available on MTS and in the community.
*Compatible with the "Pose List" feature of the newest Pose Player!*

A speed set--this took me about 22 hours from start to finish. I originally meant to make these for a friend who kept finding family-centric pose sets that she liked, only to find that they were for a completely different game. But in my experience, children climb their caretakers like trees. Especially if their caretakers are tall. So rather than making a cute set, I ended up making this, because every time I babysit, I somehow become a personal jungle gym. Sorry, heaven.

Pose tags are as follows:

A shoulder ride gone just slightly wrong.
a_splad_daddy1
c_splad_daddy1

"I wanna go with mommy!"
"Mommy's trying to get away from you, kiddo."

a_splad_daddy2
c_splad_daddy2

"Daddy, can you pick me up?"
"Sure ..."

a_splad_daddy3
c_splad_daddy3

"This is only funny until I fall on you."
a_splad_daddy4
c_splad_daddy4

AKA "the hurler."
a_splad_daddy5
c_splad_daddy5

"Thank you for blowing up my pool, Daddy!"
"No problem."
"Can you blow up my bouncehouse next?"
"Haha. Hell no."

a_splad_daddy6
c_splad_daddy6

"Muah!"
"You just had to put that Chapstick before you did this, didn't you ..."

a_splad_daddy7
c_splad_daddy7

"Please stay asleep. Please stay asleep."

You will have to use "moveobjects on" to place the sims in position. Once you cancel the poses, the adult and child sims will lump together and look like a mutant tumor. This is okay! Direct them to walk away from each other and all will be well.

I have not tried the set with teenagers or adult female sims, so I don't know how well the child poses will match up, if there will be excessive clipping/floating, etc. And I'm not able to do a similar set for toddlers. Blender and I are still not getting along very well. :embarrassed:

Don't forget to Thank the creator after downloading! Use the Thanks button located above the screenshots above.
Quick Guide:

1. Click the file listed on the Files tab to download the file to your computer.
2. Extract the zip, rar, or 7z file. Now you will have either a .package or a .sims3pack file.

For Package files:

1. Cut and paste the file into your Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3\Mods\Packages folder. If you do not already have this folder, you should read the full guide to Package files first: Sims 3:Installing Package Fileswiki, so you can make sure your game is fully patched and you have the correct Resource.cfg file.
2. Run the game, and find your content where the creator said it would be (build mode, buy mode, Create-a-Sim, etc.).

For Sims3Pack files:

1. Cut and paste it into your Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3\Downloads folder. If you do not have this folder yet, it is recommended that you open the game and then close it again so that this folder will be automatically created. Then you can place the .sims3pack into your Downloads folder.
2. Load the game's Launcher, and click on the Downloads tab. Find the item in the list and tick the box beside it. Then press the Install button below the list.
3. Wait for the installer to load, and it will install the content to the game. You will get a message letting you know when it's done.
4. Run the game, and find your content where the creator said it would be (build mode, buy mode, Create-a-Sim, etc.).

Extracting from RAR, ZIP, or 7z: You will need a special program for this. For Windows, we recommend 7-Zip and for Mac OSX, we recommend Keka. Both are free and safe to use.

These are fantastic, I love them! Too bad about the toddlers, but it'll come! And you're right, I distinctly remember my own children climbing me, their dad, or really whoever happened to be around, as though they were... well, a movable tree! LOL Thanks for this set, brilliant as usual. Both cute and amusing.

I absolutely love this set splad, except the title! I'm really glad you went with this and I look forward to seeing more and being able to use these in my game the next time I have children!

As for the title, can you really call it babysitting when it's your own children?

It's "Spiky and Suave" from the official Sims 3 site.

I'm simply a player, so I don't use or pay any attention to the pose sets but yours were so cute I had to take a look. These are so realistic! Between the poses and your comments, I just smiled. I can only hope that someone from Maxis is lurking so they can integrate actions for these at some point.

Which one isn't working? Does the sim not pose at all, or does their body warp?
