This is a new mesh, and means that it's a brand new self contained object that usually does not require a specific Expansion pack (although this is possible depending on the type). It may have Recolours hosted on MTS - check below the description for more information.
Picked Upload! This is a picked upload! It showcases some of the best talent and creativity available on MTS and in the community.
Hi Guys,
Would you test this for me please?
Made with Milkshape, UVMapper and SimPE 0.38. It has its own unique (registered) GUID, is EP ready (not required) and is colour enabled.
Ploygon Count: 346 (= VERY low)

This is my first object made using SimPE v0.38(which now has a new way to import/export meshes, and so the Mesh Tool is no longer part of the process).
It took me a few attempts to understand it...but I finally got there.... :smash: .... consequently, I went for a simple design object (so I'm not expecting five stars, - though that would be nice! ).

I am trying to concentrate on LOW polygon items, whilst retaining as much 'smoothness' and detail as possible, which I think this manages to do reasonably well.

This is an Art Deco style clock, available in six flavours. Available in Plain Black Bakalite (default colour) , Plain White (Plastic), Mahogany, Teak, White Marble and Black Marble. (see pics).

It can be placed in all the 'usual' places...but...and this is why I made it...it can be placed on any Fireplace Mantlepiece without using any cheats. (This is because it is cloned from one of Maxis's 'special' objects that will go on the fireplace mantles.)

It can be found in Decorative / All. It is purely decorative. Price = 97 simoleons

It does not have any interactions (because it's cloned from the small glass vase)...and, guess what...the clock doesn't work. (Well, it does tell the exact time twice a day!). However, because it hasn't got any interactions (your sims won't even look at it) I have given it some extra 'room' points (8), and kept it down in price!

Please report any issues, and thanks for testing

enjoy!

Bob

Recolours: (As with all my objects,) please DO NOT post any files that contain my original mesh.
You are free to post your recolour files (preferably here, in the recolours section). Please pm before posting recolours....I always reply!.. as I love to see what you recolour artists can do with my stuff!

I really like the way your brain works. You seem to be able to look at a room and figure out what's missing and what would make it look like a home. Thanks as always.

Another great object! Thanks again. Have you ever tried a bear skin rug? That'd be a huge hit!

It's great. Thank you!
One odd thing though that I'm looking for in a clock, and I hope you don't mind me asking here, since I'm new here:
After a week of staying up for HOURS pass my bedtime I got a odd idea: how about a clock that tells the "real world" time? I guess it would have to be a hack that would take note of the time off your computer.
Forgive me for asking you about that here, but yours is the best clock I've seen so far, so I thought I would ask..
Thanks TC

well..... I can't promise you that (because I'm not really any good at hacking)...but I can tell you that I will be releasing some new clocks very soon that tell the SIM time (like the alarm clock) ...but can be placed on walls, tables counters etc.... as part of a new collection release due out on 1st August... ... watch the front page of MTS2...

I truly love this. My parents have had one just like it for as long as I can remember. My mother said it was passed down to her from her grandmother, so it's pretty darn old. It makes me homesick to look at it, but it's a good kind of feeling. We need more mantle decor, I think. The vase was about the only maxis item that you could fit on the fireplace.

Great job.

For a species that claims to be intellectually superior to all other life forms, humans do some stupid things.
