Wow! How could Maxis leave unfinished items in the game? Maybe EA was rushing them - but I bet they never expected skilled modders like you to find these things, Numenor - great work! Thanks a bunch!

It would have been so Twilight Zone of maxis to have included this. Can you tell what the animations originally planned for this were all about?
Thankyou for finding it!

So much of the Sims is like the Twilight Zone. Rod Serling must have a lot of fans at Maxis. I love the Twilight Zone! I have hours and hours of episodes from the New Years' marathon taking up space on my Tivo. There are a lot of Twilight Zone episodes that remind me of things from the Sims. Did anyone ever see that episode of a man and a woman alone in a town with loud laughter from a child? That's like the whole concept of the game. Or the classic of the astronauts on a planet with tiny people? Those episodes really make you think twice when you play the Sims...doo doo...doo doo...doo doo...doo doo...*hums Twilight Zone theme*

Yes, they look exactly like Mortimer and Bella from Sims1, but in 3D

Someone probably mentioned this, but just to be picky.... the characters in TS were 3D. It was just the rest of the 'world' that wasn't.

This one was suggested to me by Jenvar (thanks!).

BTW, I'm working, in collaboration wit Real, to a "new" version of this object, with the globe not broken, tha animated snow inside and a "mourn" interaction, as suggested by Niol.

So, hold on!

Now if we can have that same type of game in the sims2 games to make the movies easier? LOL.... Hey is there a possibality to make a program to make movies eaiser in the sims2 games? Sure would like to know... :baloons: :sci:

I will be downloading this shortly. I wanted to say though, I will be looking forward to the hold and carry options if ever developed. I am going to place it in Mortimers house, and let him look it at frequently. There was a time when playing Sims 1, that Bella was always so hard to get along with, yet, she helped herself to the food and pools of my 'friendly' sims, that when she finally made one so angry, I helped them out, and took the ladders out of the pool (at the time I was oblivious to her destined plight) but once I realized she was to die, right there in my pool.... I let her.. and little did I know Mortimer would come everyday to morn her... so maybe? just maybe that little artifact was put there for someone to dig up, so that Mortimer would remember her in another way?
But anyway, sorry for the rambling... thank you very much for the gift. You continue to amaze me.

a lot of these abandoned objects would have added a nice touch to the game... anyway this is neat.

Just an anachronism, move along now.

Nice find.

Perhaps it's broken because right after Mort presented it to Bella as an anniversary gift, aliens swooped down and sucked her up. She dropped it as she started floating toward the flying saucer and it shattered at his feet. Now every time he picks it up and looks at it, he has horrible flashbacks of the night she was abducted...

Maybe Dina Caliente broke it.... I mean, maybe, after Bella dissapeared, Mortimer just couldn't stop thinking about her, that pissed Dina and she broke it.

ANNOUNCEMENT

The new Animated Snow Globe has been uploaded:

You can download it HERE.

Please note that the new version is a completely different and autonomous object: you can have both the broken one and the animated one, if you like (though it qould be quite pointless... )

Thanks to REAL and ASDF for their support and input!

It's digging around in unfinished objects that started the whole "hot-coffee" fiasco.

JACK THOMPSON IS WATCHING YOU!!! :o

i noticed the plumbob in the center. i reminded me of a pic i saw. it was sims 1 bella n mortimer holding a glowing plumbob alongside sims 2 bella n mortimer... how coincidental... mysterious [making one eyebrow raised]
