Thank you! This is great for my medieval neighborhoods, and I'll save the link so I can come back and download it later, when the servers aren't busy...

This is awesome!

I remember how lovely your Magic User career was, so I can't wait to try this one out! Thanks for making us interesting new careers.

Great, FennShysa!
Many details and additional prepared stuff, a lot of work and I think that's a very well done job! Sorry, that you had to wait for my help but as I see you got it without it and you're able to do so!
Keep up your good work and thank you for sharing!

This looks exciting - what an impressive amount of time and creativity must have gone into this career package! I look forward to trying it out.

I need to ask you a question. How does this fall into the ancients contest?

CarmeeKitty, Corylea, and Sophie-David: Thanks.

Hexameter: Thanks for your help and I'm glad you like the end result.

Masterofallvideogames: I was actually working on this well before they announced the contest and since my career didn't involve anything modern I thought I might try and submit it for the contest. I tried to remove all zippers and pockets and things like that from the outfits that I altered and there are no cars as carpools, only Hexameter's non-motor-powered vehicles. I also altered the punching bag so that it has a wooden stand and is made of burlap. Certainly there were warriors such as this in ancient times. I did wonder if it would be accepted since it leans a little more medieval than ancient, but evidently the moderators seemed to think it would work. I'm not trying to sound defensive, but what about it makes you think it shouldn't count?

Cool. I should've made a Xena chance card. Maybe in a future career. I still have more D&D careers up my sleeve.

Cool. I hope I didn't sound defensive. I thought you were saying it was inappropriate to the category.

Gonkski222: Thanks, I hope you like it.

Just a note to clarify things since I've noticed that fewer people download the carpools than the actual career. Make sure to get the carpools along with the career as they are necessary. Having Hexameter's drivable cars that the carpools are based on won't work. They have different GUIDs. If you don't choose to get the uniforms, that won't pose much of a problem (I think). But I'm not sure what will happen if the carpool tries to arrive and the game can't find the carpool package in your downloads folder.

This did NOT work. It crashed my game, after three times I deleted all of the files from this download. And voila, my game is up and working. I donot recomend this.

Did you get all three of the rar files? You have to have all three. It would probably be okay without the clothing files, but I'm pretty sure that if you don't have the carpools the game will crash. It works fine in my game. If anyone else is experiencing the crashing problem trying to use this career, first check and see that you have all the packages. There are two in the career rar, seven in the carpools rar, and ten in the clothing rar for a grand total of 19 packages. As I said, I'm pretty sure (but I haven't tested it) that it will not crash the game without the clothing files. I'm also pretty sure that it WILL crash the game if the carpool packages are not present. If all the files are there and it still crashes the game, please let me know and I will investigate.

Thanks, FennShysa! I've downloaded these, but haven't installed them yet, because I'm wondering if they'll work with base game only? I thought I remembered reading somewhere that the custom carpools wouldn't work without an EP? Hoping I'm mistaken, because this would be a great addition to my royal challenge medieval neighborhood!

Hmmmm. I don't know. I've never heard that about custom carpools. I cloned the carpools from the base game and just changed the way they look. I don't know why it wouldn't work. If you find out that it doesn't with just the base game, please let me know so I can edit the post to reflect that.

Fenn-- tried it and it did crash, unfortunately. It may have been something to do with the car pools and the base game, but then again, could easily be something else... I've got a ton of downloads installed and I've had crashes before from things that other people with just the base game got to work... Thanks anyway!

Musiquefille: Glad you like it. I hope it works well for you.

Statoun: I'm sorry it crashed on you. I had never heard anything about a conflict between custom carpools and the base game. Maybe I'll go find Numenor's Base Game Starter and see if it crashes on me that way. When exactly did the game crash? If it was right as the carpool was about to arrive, then chances are it does have something to do with that. I'll check out some things and post my findings later.

I just got Numenor's Basegamestarter and I intend to test this career in a base game environment as soon as I get enough spare time to do so. In the meantime, if anyone has a problem with the career crashing their game please let me know exactly when the game crashes and any other details you think are relevant.

EDIT:
I tested the career a few minutes ago in a basegame-only environment and it crashes the game. Apparently you have to have at least one expansion pack for it to work correctly. I don't know for sure, but it may be the custom carpools that cause this. But both careers I tested also have custom uniform templates so it might also be that. Either way, for those of you who have only the base game, I apologize. I didn't know about the incompatibility until today.

EDIT #2:
I tested my Espionage career in a basegame environment a few minutes ago and it works fine. It uses custom uniform templates but no custom carpools so I can only assume that the problem is with the carpools. I have no idea why custom carpools would cause a problem in the basegame. If I can figure it out and change the carpools I will.

This is really nice and original! I particularly like the rickshaw thing as a carpool. Good luck in the contest.

Thanks, I thought it was appropriate for the highest level. Many thanks to Hexameter for permission to use his meshes for the carpools. Check out the original drivable version, there's a link to it in the post. He has drivable and decorative versions in several colors.
