Finished testing. Here is my report.

Using LizzLove's version

3 births with 1 set of twins and 2 single births

Using Merola's updated version

1 pre-existing pregnancy (Curious brother in Maxis neighborhood) = single birth

3 pre-existing sims (created before hack installed, including Titania Summerdream and Vidcund Curious in Maxis neighborhoods, and my own sim) = 1 single birth and 2 sets of twins, including set of alien twins

new sims, new pregnancies (sims created after hack installed) = 6 twins out of 6 births

Screenshots of all my families and their births (before, during, and after) can be found at http://groups.msn.com/SaraMKirkSims2/twinshacktest.msnw
(sorry, I hate MSN too, but I didn't want to use up the bandwidth in my usual picture storage account or here)

I confirm that this hack could not work.

LizzLove, you changed the line nb 1 with the random number generation to be followed always by the test in line nb 2.
You needed to change the test line itself ( line nb 2 ) so that it leads to line 11 for both true and false results.

Merola64, your hack replacing random number by an assign instruction works too.

I just tested the new hack out on a female hybrid alien sim using another alien hybrid and she gave birth to two aliens, green skinned but no black eyes. I have another female alien hybrid no green skin on her but she was mated off with a green skinned alien hybrid, lets see what happens with her. :-p

Another quick test. Four-sim family with two pregnant sims at the same time. Both couples had twins. Boy/girl and boy/boy.

I did't suggest (and/or did not meant to suggest) that you are stupid. First of all, it's easy to make some minor mistake when moving things around on your computer. I do it all the time.

There has to be some reason its not working, since it appears to be working for others.

Have you tried restarting your computer? The locking door hack did not work for me until the next time I had restarted my computer -- restarting the game did nothing.

You're right, it could be a conflict. Have you ever had problems with downloads not showing up or not working before? Maybe there's a bad file somewhere.

You say you're getting a glitch where two single babies arrive at once? That's not (I don't think) related to this hack. I have never had that happen, with or without the hack.

Good luck, I hope you get it to work!

I did my third test, brand new family made after I installed Merolas version of the patch, and twins again! Two boys. On a sideish note I was happy to see that one got the mothers skin tone, the other got the fathers, and both got the mothers eyes. It's nice to see the variety exists in twins So, unless I don't get twins I'd say that's my last posted test since I'm sure no one wants to hear about every twin birth my sims have LOL. 3 out of 3, works for me.

Pregnant sim #2, alien hybrid no alien skin but alien eyes. Twins given birth to. Now i've got a boatload of work ahead of me trying to feed them, teach them to walk, talk and crap in the potty. UGH! Good thing is they are all males so they'll make for good adult knowledge type geeks who look through telescopes hoping to be probed by aliens again. LOL !amazed

I have been playing all day, about 10 post hack births and all twins. Sheesh, I have way to many kids now. The only births that were not twins were those belonging to sims that were preggers before I installed the hack.

Ok, it seems like Merola64 hack is working.
ebruere I saw that too, and fixed it this morning.
I also changed another behaviour to force things along, as from what I can tell the "Pregnacy - Modify Twin % chance" is also mucking about with the test values.

With the change that ebruere was talking about and the other bhav change (Pregnancy - Make Pregnant) I managed to squeeze in a bit more testing this morning. 3 sets of twins out of 3 tries. All new sims though.
I am going to be testing again tonight on both old and new sims, if I can get 10 twins for 10 tries I can be pretty sure it works right now.

Next will be the flip side hack. "No twins ever" I am going to be real tired of having babies after this. !dodge

I want to thank everyone for all the testing. With work and family I am rather short on time, and this is one of those hacks that takes a lot of testing to be sure if it works or not.

I am sorry it took longer testing this than I thought,I switched the hacks to the Merola's updated one.10 in game characters, Daniel Pleasant with the maid, and other already made sims, and in game sims,10 tries,9 twins.Only 1 single birth.Tht was the second try out of the 10 already made but non prregnant before download hack sims testing.
10 already pregnant mostly my user created sims, put in the hack 10 out of 10 twins.
The sign came everytime excepting the 1 out of 20 total, test subjects, saying TWO new babies,no 2 seperate announcements with the 2 births.
The only difference in these twin pregnancies and my 'non hacked natural twin births' are that with the second child there's a bit of time, she walked upstairs put baby #1 in a crib and went back downstairs, before doing what is very close to Sims1 change clothes spin, and ending up with baby #2 in her arms.Natural twins I have experianced, come immediately following 1st birth, and BOTH babies drop from the air into the mother (or father's) arms.
Those seem to be the only differences in the way natural twins came and these 20 sets.
Now to go and replace that neighborhood, I used it just for this testing, fast forwarding, etc. But I have no desire to play 20 sets of twins, LMAO.I had saved all pre-existing families prior to putting in the download.I have to replace them all back to normal.
Thank you for your work on this,it will be a huge success and thanks for letting me test it.
Any other testing wanted or needed with game hacks,pm me,I currently have plenty of extra game time on my hands and would be happy to help in anything that could give players what they most desire in gameplay.

I downloaded Merola's edited hack and it works like a charm--truly awesome!!! It even gave me twin aliens when abducted (which was accomplished with the abduction hack lol). Great job! I recommend it.

Used the version Merola edited, and first time my sim became pregnant she gave birth to twins boy and a girl. It took like 5 tries to get pregnant but hey thats part of the fun, and I dont think that is related.

So can I just check please...

Overall people have found that the modified version does work 100% of the time?

Has anyone had the game crash with the modified one? I'd rather have no twins than lose my Sims!

Just an FYI on this one, I had a house with 7 people, and one of them got pregnant... and it was a single! so, well, done this is accurate and stable. it will not alow you to "overstock" your family.

I tested Merola's hack, worked perfectly, though not on women already pregnant.

I also added the telescope hack at the same time, so my test family had twin aliens and twin humans at the same time!

Then I exited without saving cos I'm not crazy... ;-)

Lol, true, I'm sure we could have coped with a few nannies, but they were just a test family anyway.

<thinks> Now I'm tempted to go for quadruplets. Actually I have a family in mind for that. Well, not a family yet, two teens, but they'll be adults soon enough. Hmmm...

Wow! Great results Saramkirk. It's nice when a beta-tester puts out such whole and reliable results.

What is history but a fable agreed upon?

Yep, it works for me, at least..I even had alien twins..I got my male sim abducted after I installed the patch, right before the wife conceived. They had 4 kiddies on one day...3 Sets of Twins Total..
2 sets of human twins boy/girl on both and 1 alien set of twins boy/boy

This is a great hack Good job
