This is a new mesh, and means that it's a brand new self contained object that usually does not require a specific Expansion pack (although this is possible depending on the type). It may have Recolours hosted on MTS - check below the description for more information.
Picked Upload! This is a picked upload! It showcases some of the best talent and creativity available on MTS and in the community.
It's taken some tinkering, but here is a simple metal bar for your yet-to-be-built closets. It functions as a dresser, allowing sims to change their cloths and plan their outfits. It occupies a single square, and has no animations other than the changing of clothes animations.

As shown in the screenshot, the closet bar can be joined at the ends to create longer bars (the screenshot is two bars joined, with mirrors behind them).

Special Note: Mirrors placed behind the closet bar can still be used as normal.

For the sake of fairness, I've added a female closet bar mesh, which can be found here: http://www.modthesims2.com/showthread.php?t=112249

Update: A bug has been found that effects only those with no expansion packs. An update will be released shortly.

Update 2: A minor bug with the footprint has been fixed. The original file has been removed and replaced with this updated version.

For those experiancing the "footprint bug", replace your original closet bar with this updated mesh.

Update (again): After extensive hair-pulling, curse-word-inventing, and head-on-desk-banging, I've reset these to their original University-required forms, and solved many problems. This should now be reflected in the Requirements.

Thanks, I love some variation!

Would it be possible to make an adaption of this mesh so it could be used as a clothing rack for shops? I'm very tired of those and this would look great in a clothing store.

Berg: Yes, though it would be easier to modify the clothing rack than to adapt this perticular mesh.

Thanks, I always wanted a closet. Always made some but my sims would act like morons and go in the tiny rooms and get stuck cause someone else was bocking them in. So now at least I can have clothing in it.
