Picked Upload! This is a picked upload! It showcases some of the best talent and creativity available on MTS and in the community.
As the title suggests, this is a mildly hacked version of Vamprocillin-D which will have the reverse effect on any sims that use it - namely turn them into a vampire.

Not sure if any of you want something like this (or even need it) but after much pestering from my daughter, as she seems to have no luck locating/finding any of the Count/Countesses, I quickly hacked this up so she can have a vampire sim

This object retains all the same animations as the 'anti-vamp' potion, although as you can see from the screenshots I did replace the texture with a more colorful/murky one to make it easier to tell them apart. I have also made this object cost 100 (as opposed to Vamprocillin's 60).

So far in my testing it all seems to function fine. You can store it in a sims inventory however it can not be used from there, so you must drop it somewhere (table/floor etc) in order to get them to use it.

This object is for NIGHTLIFE ONLY - I doubt it will even work with UNI or base game however I have no means to test this.

Vamprotoxin-A can be located in buy catalogue Misc->Misc

Enjoy

Thanks, and my pleasure.

I myself generally use another method to quickly turn my sims into vamps, however since I wont allow my daughter to use those methods I came up with this.

Any and all feedback welcome, although I don't expect it to cause problems as all the modifications were to the inobject BHAVs.

Yes I am aware of this myself, however there are never any there when my daughter visits  go figure (and yes she visits there at night time)

I generally have had no problem finding them myself and while I use a boolprop to quickly turn sims into vampires (when testing), the animation/potion method does seem a little more in-jekyle/hyde-theme for those who like storytelling

Thanks Calidan! I've never "naturally" come accross a count/countess either. I end up summoning them or quick-flicking them with boolprop like you! thanks!

That's so cool, your daughter can simply ask you to whip up a hack for her. Lucky.

Anyways, great idea. I love the name too, Vamprotoxin-A. Cleverly brilliant.

Oh...what a cool idea! I do find it tedious waiting and hoping to find a count/countess and when you do the time it takes to make a pal!! So I'll test this for sure!! Thank you!!

I...will never be a memory.

I always seem to run into the vampires at either the bowling alley or Joe's hide away, go figure...lol. I have not made any vampire sims yet though so i will test this method for you. I like the Jekyll/Hyde feeling to. Thanks.

Wowie! You do know you can get the vampires at a nightclub other than the Crypt O Night Club. I got one, but I can't remember where. Something to do with the word cafe.

*lol* Just to be sure you understand note the 2nd paragraph of the leading post

Personally I have several 'natural' vampires (including one at uni - now THAT is an experience), and to my knowledge you can meet the count/countess in any downtown lot - if you are lucky

I was even fortunate enough to be able to witness Dina Caliente being turned into a vampire at the bowling alley - that was a surprise since I was there with another sim at the time (I have NEVER 'played' any of the stock families that come with pleasantview)

I am pleased that you all seem to like my latest (and quickest) addition to the community I hope you find it useful - or even just interesting

I'm surprised no one made this before since I've seen so many people with the vampire problem, or lack there of rather. It will add an interesting mystical and at the same time scientific edge to forthcoming stories I'm sure. Thanks for your ingenuity.

Wow, thanks! I can find vampires, but I married my count off to one of my sims lol, so now it's difficult to find him again.

*lol* He punches -- and misses *lol*

Seriously folks, this was a 30min hack I threw together. I'm pleasantly surprised and pleased that someone else thought of this idea also (It's nice to be unique, but someone else saw a need also so thats cool)

Can't say I've ever seen that site to be honest - since I mostly create for MTS2 and for my own use and the pleasure of letting my mind play with new ideas.

I don't like vampires! They can die in day. It's better to buy Vampricolin-D becouse that's the way if you're vampire you can get normal again!

Yeeees... but some people don't WANT to be 'normal', they prefer to have the option to be vampires. Frankly, I know my self-sim would be more realistic (in terms of sleeping patterns anyway) if she were a vampire :P

Nice hack Calidan, this'll be good for my neighbourhood where I can't visit the Community lots...

:wowsers: And here I was thinking I was the only one with sleep pattern problems :D

I do agree also - why on earth would anyone wish to be 'normal' - how tiresome that would be

Glad you like Nyara and thanks
