This is a "modern" style house based off of a request that Lorry had for a house in a "U" shape (with a center courtyard). Unfortunately the request was for a 'pergola covering' of the courtyard and I have not yet learned the trick of angled roofs yet! So, I hope this will do!

One side of the "U" includes three generously sized bedrooms (color coded for clarity), the master suite includes sitting area and private bath, while the two smaller bedrooms share a bath. The other side features a formal dining room, formal study and large family/play room, 1/2 bath, and open kitchen. The center of the house is the courtyard with pool, sundeck, garden and BBQ area/spa.

I hope this is what you had in mind, Lorry!!

(I've included two versions of the house, furnished and unfurnished. The unfurnished house SHOULD be non-expansion compatible, unless I've stuck in a window from an expansion and didn't realize.)

Basic Download and Install Instructions:

1. Download: Click the download link to save the .rar or .zip file(s) to your computer.

2. Extract the zip, rar, or 7z file.

3. Install: Double-click on the .sims2pack file to install its contents to your game. The files will automatically be installed to the proper location(s).
  • You may want to use the Sims2Pack Clean Installer instead of the game's installer, which will let you install sims and pets which may otherwise give errors about needing expansion packs. It also lets you choose what included content to install. Do NOT use Clean Installer to get around this error with lots and houses as that can cause your game to crash when attempting to use that lot. Get S2PCI here: Clean Installer Official Site.

I am overcome with emotion right now due to the outstanding house you have designed at my request. I absolutely loved your house "Drake Manor" and couldn't wait for your next design, little did I know it would be mine!!!! Thankyou doesn't seem enough for all the time and effort you have put in, but I truly do appreciate this beautiful house and can't wait to see it in my game. Oh and I will be looking out for your next creation! THANKYOU

You are quite welcome, Lorry, it was my pleasure! I just hope it is what you had in mind. Perhaps someone else can go in and change the roof to the style that you had in mind? =) I 'play tested' it, so everything should be in working order.

LOL I was so overcome that I didn't give the pergola a second thought. I am happy with the house just as you have designed it. Thankyou again (Tears in eyes, OMG this is very emotional for me)

Aww, thanks! You'd better stop now or you're going to make ME teary! It was the least I could do after all your nice comments about my other creations. It was a pleasure!

You'll have to send me pics of your game once you move a family in, I'd love to see your personal touches! =)

The cheat code you're looking for is:

boolprop allow45degreeangleofrotation true

You can type the same thing again and put 'false' at the end to turn off the cheat. However, to use this cheat you DO have to have the University expansion pack. Hopefully your grandma let you get that one. =)

Thanks again for the compliment about the house!

I'm sorry to hear that you've had problems with this house. It is quite possible that because *I* have all the expansions installed on my game that they are required to use this house even if no expansion items were used. I'm terribly sorry! =(
