The remaining package files each represent a sim. These four sims are the four leaders of the major Vampire Houses of the Council. Each sim is equipped with a cell phone so that they may be contacted even if they do not live in a lot.

Description: The Clan Vampire Career is a Event based Career for Sims 2 EP2. The career is based off of some ideas from the Blade series of movies as well as incorporations of vampire hunter themes. You will find that career to be a complete open ended RPG that involves your sim going for the rank of human familiar (vampire hopeful serving a master) all the way through the creation of their own Vampire House and onto the rank of Grand Vampire. The chance cards and ranks descriptions contain detailed information on the Vampire Council which governs the recognized vampire houses.

Another quality career I take my hat off to you (even though I'm not wearing one, but you get the idea)

P.s. I think this should be in the careers section rather than global mods

If you're not part of the solution, you're part of the precipitate

You can now also download the Clan Vampire Hunter Career, which compliments this Career here:

The careers interweave with character concepts, Vampire House leaders. While they do work quite well independently of each other, the Hunter Career will "feel right" when the Clan Vampire Career is also present.

Updated to Version 0.75

Had several users indicate that the lot lot loaded fine, but no Vampire Sims were present. I have replaced the lot with 4 package files, each containing one of the Vampire House leaders.

See First post for update details.

Default Problem
the career does not appear in the inSIMenator's career adjuster under choose career. i have no idea how long i have to wait for it to appear in the normal rotation of want adds, and i'm not sure if i'm patient enough to wait for it.

The four vampires don't show up in my game. The four package files are in my downloads folder, and in CAS, there are some brand-new very pale heads, so I know that SOMEthing is there. But the actual people don't appear in the families bin, nor does an occupied house (or an empty house, for that matter) appear in the lots & houses bin. I checked in my neighborhood, downtown, and at university, and the four vampires just aren't anywhere. My sim who is in the career has never heard from them (and she's up to the 9th level), and their names don't appear in her telphone book. In other words, I've checked everywhere I can think of, and there just don't seem to be any new vamps.

I think the career is quite clever, even without the vamps. I liked the idea of the salary going down and the hours going up when the sims start their own house; this seemed very realistic.

One typo I've noticed: The title for "Rogue House Deaconess" was correct, but the body of the text talked about a "rouge" house. I suppose it could be red, if a lot of blood was spilled. :-)

Anyway, this is a neat idea even without the four vamps, but it sounds as if you put in a lot of work to make it even cooler than that, so I'd like to find those vamps.

I made some mods for The Sims 1 -- yes, The Sims ONE :-) -- which you can find at

I just downloaded and may get to some testing in the next week.

I'm wondering about this line from the readme: "105 Custer Boulevard.Sims2Pack which is a double-click executable that will install the 105 Custer Blvd lot into the Standard downtown area of The Sims 2 Nightlife Expansion area."

Since you've apparently taken this out (not in the included files), what are the plans for the future?

I think its a fine idea to 'have to' install a master house somewhere, as an addition to the career. It certainly would add a depth to the career that no other has at the moment.

If you do go back to including (or better yet maybe, linking) a populated lot, perhaps it can go in any neighborhood, or perhaps a custom downtown rather than the Maxis default one.

Just some thoughts on your great idea and career.

I downloaded the clan vampire career and literally played ALL of yesterday, so i got about 3 chance cards and have written down the typos for you, i can't necessarily remember which levels they were from, but i'm hoping you'll recognise them!
1: 'you master charges with you' something about a raid, should be 'your'
2: you're rogue house 'assulat' something something House Moutin should be 'assault
3: in the same chance card as no. 2 it says you are assured this action will 'curry' favour something something, should be 'carry'

hope this helps!
