This will replace grey mannequin skin with one of the game skin colors in BodyShop both on the sim itself and in the thumbnail previews. The elders skin is set to the same color as adults, otherwise the face and body color will not match.

IMPORTANT! You can only use one skin color at a time! Since there is only one mannequin skin in BodyShop.

Place the file in your Downloads folder. It will not affect the game in any way. No expansion pack required. To uninstall simpy delete the file.

Thumbnails refresh trick: To refresh all the preview thumbnails in BodyShop delete the cigen.package file located in "My Documents\EA Games\The Sims 2". Next time you start BodyShop all the thumbnail previews will be recreated.

*Update Apr 13/06* Added custom skin. That file contains light skin textures, replace them with your own if you want customized mannequin look. You would need to edit the file in SimPe.

You must have the expansion or stuff packs listed below installed to use this custom content. Please see the post text for any exceptions.

Wow. Very awesome. Will we see options for other skintones in the near future?

But very glad indeed I can see how things will look against some sort of real skin.

I have a sunny disposition and I'm always kind to animals.

Oh thank god. XD This is so awesome; thanks so much for making this available. Having to deal with the grey mannequin skin was terrible; I'll certainly be downloading this.

I just added a custom skin that contains light skin textures. You can replace the textures with your own and have custom mannequin skin.

This is wonderfull! I always hated that grey skintone in bofy shop. I gave up trying to create makeup because it always turned out different on a regular skin tone than what you could see in the preview because of the grey skintone. This is just what I wanted.

Hello! Thanks for these

I have a question: if this replaces the mannequin skin with the MAxis game skintones, what will happen if you have default replacements? Sorry if this is a silly question >__<

It only replaces grey mannequin skin in BodyShop, nothing else. There shouldn't be any conflict.

Oh, no, sorry, I was so unclear! I meant that, if you have default replacements, will the mannequins have the replacement skin or a maxis skin?

The mannequin will have the replacement custom skin in this case, not the Maxis one.

This is probably a really daft post but I can't seem to get a skintone to replace the default grey.

Does the file have to go in the Bodyshop Downloads folder or the Sims 2 Downloads folder?

Also, I found the cigen package in the Bodyshop folder NOT the Sims 2 folder as was suggested.

I'm confused =)

Are you by any chance using the old BodyShop that was published as a stand-alone application before the release of Sims 2? You are talking about BodyShop Downloads folder and there isn't one in the game. You should use the BodyShop that comes with the game, see your Start menu under EA Games and then under the latest expansion pack you installed.
