Picked Upload! This is a picked upload! It showcases some of the best talent and creativity available on MTS and in the community.
Here's a 2-tiled version of the Cornerstone Victoriana Velvet Drapes that will match any bedding you have in your game (either Maxis or custom). (The 1-tile version can be downloaded here. ) The fabric part of the curtain borrows its texture from any bedding you have in your downloads folder (if it's a recolor on the Colonial Ironwood bed), while the metal/tassel parts of the curtain can be recolored separately (to recolor the fabric, you have to make a recolor of the Colonial Ironwood Bed bedding). The curtain also works on diagonal walls. There is also a silver recolor of the metal/ tassel parts of the curtain that can be downloaded separately.

To download a version of this same mesh that uses all the normal curtain textures go here. (These two objects are completely separate and won't overwrite anything. You can use either only one of them or both at the same time.)

Catalog section: Decorative/ Curtain

Polygons/ vertices: 1358 polygons/ 1444 vertices

Compatibility: Does not require any expansion packs and should work with all versions of the game.

Redistribution: You can freely share the meshes along with recolors you make as long as the mesh file stays free to download at all times, and you post a link to this thread. The curtains can be freely included in (free) lot downloads.

File/mesh names:
HS_BeddingMatching2TileCornerstoneCurtainMESH.package
HS_BeddingMatching2TileCornerstoneCurtainDiagonalMESH.package
HS_BeddingMatching2TileCornerstoneCurtainSilver.package (recolor of the metal/tassel parts)

Maxis for the original mesh

(The screenshots are only examples of what different bedding textures look like on the curtain, but your options are not limited to the options in the pictures.)

The window used in the screenshots is from the Le Petit Trianon Collection by simnuts101.

You must have the expansion or stuff packs listed below installed to use this custom content. Please see the post text for any exceptions.

Ah, this is wonderful! I've really enjoyed the single-tile version ever since it came out - linking the textures to bedding makes it super easy to coordinate.

Thank you very much, I was waiting for that, since the single one you made it's fabolous and I use it regularly. These addition is the missing cherry on the ice cream.
I appreciate your work and efforts in improving the game for all of us, addicted players and downloaders. Ciao.

can you have both flavors (the one that uses the bedding textures and the one that uses the normal curtain textures) in your game at the same time?

Thank you! Just yesterday I was wishing that someone would make these to match the single tile ones. Wonderful creation!

Great idea. I always wondered why maxis didn't have matching (or even better coordinating) curtains for their bedding.

do these have the same "upside down" issue of patterns that have a directionally specific pattern of the one tile curtains?

Yes, the pattern on most of the curtain is upside down like in the 1-tile curtain, and there is a little sliver at the bottom that's the other way around, I think.

Thank you so much!!! I had actually requested more items that draw their texture from the bedding. I love it!

This is why you are one of my favorite creators! Thanks so much. I can't think of the name of the other drapes in the game but they're the most expensive ones, is there a way to make them also borrow the texture from bedding?

I loved the originals, Now I download bedding specifically as curtain recolours! Only yesterday I was thinking how I really wanted more 2 tile curtains. Thank you curtain fairy!

There's probably a way, but those curtains are uv-mapped in a more complicated manner, and I'm not sure if I'm interested in dealing with that right now . Certainly it would be possible for someone who has the patience to adjust the map.

This is an excellent idea. Thanks for sharing.
I'm gonna also download the single-tiled version of your curtain.
Thanks again.

Yes!...Thank You, H !

Finally some lighter drapes that will fit the bigger windows and be useful about it, too.

She's all that and more.
