New Robe Mesh for your witches/medieval sims

This is a new mesh, and means that it's a brand new self contained object that usually does not require a specific Expansion pack (although this is possible depending on the type). It may have Recolours hosted on MTS - check below the description for more information.

Hi, Today I upload something a bit different. I tried Tiggerypum's and HystericalParoxysm's great BodyMeshing Tutorial and incredibly it worked - at least after the 4th time, when I noticed I hadn't put the Mesh into my downloads-folder! *claps hand to forehead*
There are actually two Meshes:
- the graduation robe for adult and young adult females (taken from UNI and converted to a normal outfit)
- a longer version of the graduation robe, also for adult and young adult
The graduation Mesh comes only with one recolour from the game.
The long robe Mesh comes with a black recolour by me.
The third file contains two graduation recolours for the long robe.
I did these because there are so few female robe meshes - and if there already is on in the game, why not use it?
Of course you are allowed to recolour, that's what I did them for! Just link back to this thread for the long Robe Mesh. The graduation Mesh (the short one) can be included with your recolours.

*Update*
I edited the robes to show up in elder-catalog too. Just put the updated.zip into your downloads folder and overwrite the original files. The zip includes a YA-Elder version of the long black robes and two new recolours (Maxis-black graduation gown and long robe)
Edit: Eliza Blaine wanted a black graduation robe for elders. Here it is: *points to gradrobe_black.zip*
You must have the expansion or stuff packs listed below installed to use this custom content. Please see the post text for any exceptions.

I adore these new robes Mia, it's what we HP sim fans have been waiting for!!
I don't think the mesh in the Midsummer Night's Dream collection is a mod quite like yours, I think it's an entirely new mesh, where as you've just changed the alpha mesh a little - so I think you might need to do the same with the male graduation robes

Yes it may be an entirely new mesh, but in the back, where the hood is hanging down, it looks nearly the same as the graduation mesh.
Though when I think of it, it doesn't work for young adults. Maybe I'll do the male version too then.

I would be very grateful for a teenage version of this mesh - for my 'Harry Potter' sims who don't want to have uniform underneath their robes like they do in the film!
(since when does it mention in the books that they have uniform underneath anyway?!)

I was thinking the same thing - in the books, they're supposed to wear plain black working robes if you pay attention to the letters... not coats over uniforms like in the movies... so these are much more appropriate

Oh, I never noticed that! Sorry about that, you're right, they do look the same (the Monk and Graduation mesh). Apologies

Dunno if I can do this, I haven't got much practise. But anyway I'll try it in the next 29 days! (Milkshape is only a trial version)

I spent most time today fiddling with the teenage versions. I'll upload them tomorrow together with the male version
As much as I like to be thanked, but I didn't do most part of the mesh. I just pulled down the hem of the graduation robe :D

When updating this thread I included the pictures, but forgot to put up the zip-file. Download the new file and I assure you everything will work just fine
I know I already disappointed you with the long table. Maybe you'll forgive me when I update the table to work with the base game. I found out how to do this and will upload tonight or tomorrow.
Would be great if you tested it for me and I hope I don't forget to upload the zip-file then
