It is an anthology of quests, with a runor of 9th one in the making. Yes, the era of King's Quest has spanned many years. Yet, still the adventure is sought atfter because of the replay value, hilarity and puzzle-solving the quests entailed.
For spawning so many chapters, I say thank you Roberta Williams for your engaging segas which forever should remain part of gaming royalty. Tis a crying shame Sierra let veteran leaders like her go, and because of that I am only 2 Sierra characters--no more. I also encourage Simmers who have these game to revisit them once in awhile. Remember, without these creative geniuses like Roberta Williams, Al lowe; and others; the loathesome text-based adentures would've gone on for perhap another 5 years and we would not have shared the adventures of Guybrush Threepwood, King Graham; and others.

That depends on Sierra. Adventure games, as I have mentioned, are at the brink of extinction. That is why someone made at site dedicated to saving KQ 9. Just type King's Quest and/or 9 in your search. I encourage everyone to try and save it!
Aventure games are in critical condition--SAVE THEM!

Default King's Quest 9
The rumours of King's Quest 9 are true... but it isn't being made by Sierra. It is in fact a 3D fangame called The Silver Lining. It's being made by Phoenix Freeware and was almost never released because Vivendi sent them a Cease and Desist letter. The save KQ9 website was a petition against Phoenix Freeware shutting down the project. Phoenix Freeware are allowed to complete the game under a fan license as long as they changed the name from King's Quest 9 to The Silver Lining. While I'm not from Phoenix Freeware personally I am eagerly awaiting the arrival of part 1. The address for their website is

EDIT: While the above url still works Phoenix Freeware have since changed to

lilyanawhovian hit the nail on the head right above regarding KQ9.

Amazing work on Rosella and Alexander! Just a quick note, since I didn't see it mentioned, but to my knowledge Rosella's dress and hair require NL.

For those interested in completing their Royal Family, I always thought that Viv looked like Valanice. Now we just need King Graham & his adventuring hat.

Sims 3: Laura Bow, Lillian Prune, and Steve Dorian by me!
