Picked Upload! This is a picked upload! It showcases some of the best talent and creativity available on MTS and in the community.
Sometimes I have built things in the Sims as a challenge to see how close I can get to the original, real life building. I have done my parents home and during the past few days have been working on building my grandparent's (mother's side) farm which is in Eastern Kansas (it now belongs to my uncle).

One thing I wanted to do is show my sons how my grandpa built a "round" house. Well, that's what all the grandkids called it because we could run from the kitchen, through the bathroom, through the bedroom, through the sitting room, through the dining/living room, and back to the kitchen.

There are several things that Sims2 did not have to make this build more accurate. I'll be posting more as I work on thim, but here is this set: .

mesh: breeze easy window
dark green window (the trim on my grandparents house was dark green)
dark blue window (the trim on my uncles house was dark blue)
window with peeling white paint (well sometimes the barns weren't always painted "on time")

mesh: driveway concrete and concrete extension
light dirt
medium dirt
dark dirt
sand
large pebbles
small pebbles
straw
rocks in dirt

mesh: value wood lumber's Just a door
red door
red X door
old blue door

mesh: VIP deluxe double door
old yellow
old wood

mesh: Black and White "Bare" bath
wood trough/stock tank (good for medieval farms)
green stock tank
blue stock tank
red stock tank
standard metal stock tank

mesh: "Grilled Cheese" by Renu Tumush
red X hay loft door
white X hay loft door
yellow X hay loft door
full hay loft
empty hay loft

Walls:
peeling red barn wall
peeling/dirty white barn wall
red barn wall
red barn wall with top shadow
white barn wall
white barn wall with top shadow
yellow barn wall
yellow barn wall with top shadow
weathered brown slat wall (not a good picture- inside of garage- will get a better pic up soon)

Floor:
Straw for stalls (hey your Sims don't have to muck it out every day)

Oh this is so cool! I grew up just outside a city in a rundown suburb, but now live in a suburb that has a lot of rural character and many farms nearby. I am starting to learn more about farms and how people live on them and what the houses and buildings are like. This is a really fun way for me to take a peek and I think it's a great way to show your children what the farm was like. I think even my little daughter who is really into playing with her toy farm set now will enjoy seeing the building on the screen. Thanks so much! I can't wait to see what else you add to this series.

I am so appreciative that you made barn necesities. For a year now I've been looking for farming and barn stuff here at MOD and I had found very little on the subjects or found no meshes to go with certain recolors( which makes them worthless). Thanks for taking the time to make these.

Looks good. I had been wishing for some 'less perfect' things for some of my buildings. These will be great. You have inspired me to go back and do another medival neighborhood. Some of these will be perfect.

All I can say is wow. I mean, I can't even begin to imagine the time all this took. That said, I agree with a lot of the posts in that the items are extremely useful. And best of all: THEY ACTUALLY WORK!!!!

Hi! I'm wonderring if I just download the door, will it work by it's self? Reason being is because I'm making my own farm and I just needed a door for it and a few other things. Please get back with me soon. Thank you
