This is a new mesh, and means that it's a brand new self contained object that usually does not require a specific Expansion pack (although this is possible depending on the type). It may have Recolours hosted on MTS - check below the description for more information.

Pirate bed frame by Mummysim - July 06

This bed was cloned from the Soma bed and is recolourable. Using Simpe, 3ds max and photoshop.

Two sets of pirate bedding are included in this set but all maxis beddings can be used too.

Please do not redistribute my meshes or mangle them in any way and claim them as your own!. You can include the mesh file in with recolours and I would love to see what you do. Please provide a link where I can see!

Sandy has a whole pirate family available at Sims Divine and Ive made a treasure chest in our theme of the month. "Pirates" which you can see in the screenshot which is also available at Sims Divine.

Please note, sims legs poke through the outer walls of the ship when they climb in and out of the bed but they drift off to sleep perfectly fine once they are aboard! Not quite sure how to fix that!

The poly count of the frame is around 4000.
Downloaded meshes should go into the downloads folder: c/My documents/EA games/Sims2/Downloads.

Make sure you have the latest CEP installed. Also goes in downloads folder.

Thanks to Quaxi, Numenor, R Giles and all those whove made in possible to create custom content.

Happy Simming!

Awww, that's so cute! I've got a couple of families who live in pirate/underwater themed houses, this is perfect for them! Very good work.

For a species that claims to be intellectually superior to all other life forms, humans do some stupid things.

Very cute! My little cousin actually has a bed like that (his dad built it) for years now, and it looks like that bed a lot! His little brother has it now. But anyway, Good job!

This file doesn't seem to want to work for me. Once it finally saved as a WinZIP file, it has an error and I can't unzip it. For reference I have latest WinZIP & sims 2 base+pets.

I'll try back in the next couple of days just to see if it's playing silly buggers.

I love this bed, but is there anyway you could make it a single and usable by toddlers?

I know this download is from a way long time ago, but still I'd just like to say that the first picture in the description is amazing. I see a grown man who sleeps not only in a pirate bed but, indeed, in a whole pirate-themed room, with spotlights. And he seems to have left a bottle of champagne on the floor. I like to think that he's waking up with a wicked hangover, too. He doesn't have to wonder what happened last night. It happens every night.

That's just what I see, though. It's possible that I've misunderstood the situation. XD
