This is a new mesh, and means that it's a brand new self contained object that usually does not require a specific Expansion pack (although this is possible depending on the type). It may have Recolours hosted on MTS - check below the description for more information.
Hi. I made these to go with the simrock theme. I first stared with the mailbox, as the maxis one didn't fit in very well with the theme. I don't usually play with the mailbox, as I almost always delete it as soon as I start a new lot. This one is decorative, and if you hate paying bills as much as I do than you will definitely love it! As for the trashcan, I got the idea for it after a couple of my palmtrees caught fire after placing the simrock stove next to them. My sims have poor cooking skills and they managed to set the whole lot on fire. It is fully functional, only the lid won't come off and it looks like they are stuffing the garbage bag through it. Otherwise, it blends in naturally with the environment. Enjoy!

They were cloned from the maxis mailbox and trashcan respectively. You can find them under miscellaneous.

Numbers:

Trashcan - 760 faces / 551 vertices
Mailbox - somewhere around 1000 faces / 1000 vertices

Well, the trashcan is very functional indeed. The mailbox, I think it's only decorative because the mailman just passes by it every morning. I tested it only for a couple or so of sim days. However I am presently experiencing some bugs, no NPCs work on my lots presently so maybe it works but I am not aware of it. I'll let you know after I reinstall my game.

I seem to remember from the sims 1, if you deleted the mailbox you wouldn't get any guests. Does this hold true for sims 2 or is it different?

What if you use moveobjects on and place the simstone mail box over the original?
That would work wouldn't it?

These are really nice, just what I love to find! I'm grateful for stone-themed recolors (since my own perfectionism gets in the way of doing new meshes myself) but shiny new meshes are of course the best thing to find, and these are perfect! Thanks!
