This is a Maxis Recolour which means that it is a recolour of an item that already exists in your game. Please check the Expansion pack requirements to see which game pack it recolours.

This custom content if it is not clothing, may require a seperate download to work properly. This is available at Colour Enable Package (CEP) by Numenor.

Picked Upload! This is a picked upload! It showcases some of the best talent and creativity available on MTS and in the community.
I got enough of meshing for now, so here I'm back to texturing.
What you get today is two new roofs, each in different colours for the variety:

1. a slate roof, as you can find it on many old buildings like churches, etc. I'm very proud of this one, cause it's the first ever texture I did without using premade ones as base .
Of course it's seamless and it fits better into the sim-realism than my previous roofs - at least I think so. You can judge for yourselfs .
Colours: black, light-black, dark red, -green and -blue

2. shingles
You may have noticed the constant absence of round shingles throughout the whole game...but luckily nightlife brought us a wall, that I could use as a base texture. This roof looks real great when seen from afar, especially the black one has a nice 3D touch.
Colours: black, red, green, brown

You may include these roofs in your uploaded lots, if you give me credit. A link back here wouldn't hurt either. As I did the slate texture myself, you are not allowed to use any part of it for your own creations!

Happy Building!

Thank you very much! There are hardly any good roof textures for this game and Maxis doesn't seem like they are going to give us any more.

Great! The Maxis roofs are so limited. Your in-game pics look wonderful. I can hardly wait to try these out.

Would it be too much to ask for floor tiles that coordinate with these for when you use the mansard roof?

These look great; thanks for making them. My buildings never look quite right because the roof doesn't really go. This will expand our options nicely!

I finally just got a moment to test these textures out in the game and they are absolutely fantastic - thanks so much =) I am about to upload a lot that uses another of your great roof textures. Definitely one of the hardest things to find for the game!

I'm not sure if I know what you mean by mansard roof...but I suppose you wanna create the illusion of a roof with the constrainfloorelevation cheat.
I'll upload a floor sporting both textures, Ok? When I think about it a wall would be good, too for the gable/pediment or whatever thats called...

you can still pm me with requests and stuff...only i'm not very often logged in at the moment...

Which roof has the non-round scales-looking texture as I'm not familiar with roof names and don't understand exterior-design-speak?!
Are the shingles the ones that look like round-scales on a dragon or the sharp-edged textured roof? Because the pictures aren't labeled properly!
