This is a new mesh, and means that it's a brand new self contained object that usually does not require a specific Expansion pack (although this is possible depending on the type). It may have Recolours hosted on MTS - check below the description for more information.
This is a featured upload! It showcases the best talent and creativity available on MTS and in the community.
FLOWER BOX for Balconies and Fences

It works IN ANY GAME CONFIGURATION (base-game alone or with any EP)

Update 08 August 2007: diagonal mesh show-up correctly also in community lot.
There was a bug in the diagonal mesh that prevented it to show up in the buy mod catalog in community lots.
Now the problem is solved.
Thanks to anak_ponti for report the problem.

The update file is ML_FlowerBox_Mesh-Diagonal.rar
It is also included in the archive ML_FlowerBox_MESHS.rar
Please, redownload.

Make your houses more beautiful with "realistic" flower boxes on balconies and fences !!!

This flower box can be applied to all the half-walls, to all the fences and the windows whose height and position allow to have it.

INSTALLATION AND USAGE
The flower box is provided in two separate elements : straight and diagonal.
There are two recolourable parts, "flowers" and "vase", that can be recoloured altogether or separately.
In the archive ML_FlowerBox_MESHES.rar you'll find the two meshes:
- MaryLou_FlowerBox_Mesh.package
- MaryLou_FlowerBox_Mesh-Diagonal.package
The element without the back panel is a recolour of the main flower box! It is not a separate element!

In the archive ML_FlowerBox_RECOLORS.rar you'll find 5 custom recolors, two for the flower box only, and three for the flowers only:
- MaryLou_FlowerBox_Recolor_Vase-Gold.package
- MaryLou_FlowerBox_Recolor_Vase-Gray.package
- MaryLou_FlowerBox_Recolor_Flowers-Red.package
- MaryLou_FlowerBox_Recolor_Flowers-Purple.package
- MaryLou_FlowerBox_Recolor_Flowers-Blue.package

Extract the packages from the rar archives and put them in the Downloads folder (use an archive program, or the Q-Xpress auto-installer)

In the game, you can find the flower boxes in Buy Mode catalog -> Decorative -> Miscellaneous.

SPECIAL RECOLOR
I have made special recolors to coordinate the flower box with the Fences "Classical Ascension" and "Gelander".
In the archive ML_FlowerBox_Recolor_Fence-ClassicalAscension.rar you'll find a recolour package in a unique format, that contains all the three recolours (white, red, blue) for the "Classical Ascension" coordinated with the flower box recolors, (gray, gold and marble)
In the archive ML_FlowerBox_Recolor_Fence-Gelander.rar you'll find a recolour package in a unique format, that contains all the three recolours (yellow, purple, pink) for the "Gelander" coordinated with the flower box recolors, (gray, gold and marble)
Look at the screenshots!

HOW TO MAKE RECOLORS
You must recolor only the file MaryLou_FlowerBox_Mesh.package
Open the file with Object Workshop in SimPE and select the subset "vase" and/or "flowers". You can choose the texture with or without "invisible part".
The recolors will apply automatically on the diagonal model. You can follow this tutorial.
It's really easy to make custom recolors for the floxer box using my default textures as a template.

Hi MaryLou, there's something similar on several sites, but your flower boxes are perfect and rich of details, I'll delete the others and take yours. The flowers are so beautyful! The pics give the idea of how much this stuff will change the look of our buildings. Thank you very much, you did a great job. Kiss and ciao.
