Minor Update 12/21/2008: - baby/toddler/kids room "far from perfect"

This is a new mesh, and means that it's a brand new self contained object that usually does not require a specific Expansion pack (although this is possible depending on the type). It may have Recolours hosted on MTS - check below the description for more information.
This is a featured upload! It showcases the best talent and creativity available on MTS and in the community.
I changed some of the catalog entrys of the toys to display the right skill to be raised.

Collection - contains only the Collection file, no meshes
UpdatedMeshes - contains four meshes which have been updated. Should only be downloaded if you are not going to redownload the whole set
UpdatedFreeTimeFiles - contains all the files (mostly toys) which have been updated for FreeTime + the bookcase with the new AL options
Toys - contains all of the toys included in the set
ExpansionPackObjects - contains all objects you need an EP for
WindowSillDecoration - contains the doors and all window sill decoration (windows are in the ExpansionPackObjects.rar)
Objects - contains all other items of this set

The other two files do contain a list of all objects, respectively the matching wall and floor for the set.

10/02/2008: Finally, I am able to officially release the base game compliant files for my ffp-kidsroom. Unlike the old base game files which have been online at MTS2 for a while now, these files are fully compatible with all existing and future recolors. There are still a few files which you´ll need an EP for, but they are few. Those of you who don´t need the base game files should still consider downloading the file "UpdatedMeshes".

Just a note: There´s only the base game version online from now an. The old version didn´t have any advantages with regard to the new one, so I spare you the confusion of having to choose a version. Anyway, you can certainly still download those meshes which needed upgrading for FreeTime (called "UpdatedFreeTimeFiles").

3/13/2008: I added enthusiasm raise for the toddler toys and the new menu options for the bookcase. You may also want to redownload the baby blanket (sim2me_ffp_4.rar or at my site).

toy duck (Enthusiasm: art)

All clothing used for the screenshots was made by me. You´ll find them at http://sim2me.de. You´ll also find 3 recolors of this set there.

* can also be used on my small shelf, the toy box, the bookcase and my separate window sills. You´ll find more window sill decoration here at Mod or at my page.

** these motives were taken from http://www.fensterbilder.de.

You may recolor as you like, just link back to this thread or to http://sim2me.de. You may include the mesh. Please do not post on pay sites without asking me before.

Known issues: The kid shop is not recolorable.
If anyone has any suggestion how to fix these, please let me know.

I´ve attached some detailled screenshots in the first and third post of this thread.

@all: Wow, thanks for all of your nice feedback!

@spmjcom: You´ve been really fast. Thanks for editing your post. I´m glad you like the detailled screens.

@AbstractSIMmer187: I´m not 100 % sure how featuring items works, but I think unless you aren´t already a featured artist, they´d feature a set when they see it. Meshes are not checked before they are released here (at least, my set wasn´t checked before release).

It´s called "far from perfect" because it´s far from what I´d wished to be in Maxis´Family Fun Expansion pack. I was so disappointed by the EP that I decided to make my own set to live up to the theme.

Nothing is automatically featured. Staff has to see it and then feature it. While some featured artists do get a lot of their work featured, most have many uploads and only a few featured. But this set is incredible. The attention to detail just amazes me. Thank you so much!

I don't have FFS, and you did an incredible job of giving us things to put in the children's room - both decorations and playable items. Just WOW.

This stuff is amazing!!!!I used to have a children's bookstore in sims1 with little furniture and books and toys, these will be great to recreate that! I love them, they really look like children's stuff and have such beautiful colours! Thank you soooo much!!!

Outstanding work - and I agree about the FFS pack - it lacked badly - as does the GS which I refuse to get =) Thanks for taking the time to make this huge and lovely collection of goodies!

Now my toddlers can finally become occupied with things to do instead of sitting there whining and playing with the very few toys that they already own. Thanks, these are wonderful!
