This is a new mesh, and means that it's a brand new self contained object that usually does not require a specific Expansion pack (although this is possible depending on the type). It may have Recolours hosted on MTS - check below the description for more information.

Here is a construction set for building outdoor concert stages. Included are both horizontal and vertical trusses (three meters long), and also crowd barriers to erect in front of the stage. Or anywhere else you don't want your sims to wander without accreditation or a backstage pass.

The vertical truss is 1136 faces, 1101 vertices and the horizontal one 1136 faces, 1116 vertices. Both can be used without any expansion packs. Note that the horizontal truss is based on a rug (Echo's doormat, downloaded at and is a buy mode object. The vertical truss is based on a Maxis column.

The straight crowd barrier section is 306 faces, 556 vertices and the diagonal one is 294 faces, 531 vertices. As it is a custom fence, it requires an expansion pack (I believe any will do) to show up in the game.

These may be included in free sets (not donation sets), but please give me credit and link to this thread.

Comments are welcome. I might expand this set in the future with more items - different kinds of trusses, end and connecting pieces, stage equipment, banners etc., and set up my own website for it if there is enough interest.

You must have the expansion or stuff packs listed below installed to use this custom content. Please see the post text for any exceptions.

kapu- You've not only created a stage build items, but you have created an item that can allow any fan of "Battlestar Galactica" to construct their own New Caprica town (seeing that the end of Season 2/start of Season 3 has similar trusses and barriers).

nonetheless. Keep up the excellent work.

I'm happy because there's a Sim of Sandrine Holt for The Sims 2.

Thanks for the comments, looks like there is demand for this sort of stuff so I will do more. I have quite a lot of ideas already, but I'm open to suggestions nevertheless.

thanks! i always improvise and use fences to make a 'crowd area' if i make theoretical venues (but obv they don't stay behind it!) now if only someone knew how to make a door that only certain people can get through.. and if you didn't have to stand right in front of people playing.. haha it'd make a good game, wouldn't it? build a venue and that.. haha

Its great, absolutely perfekt. Will work great for Films. One question: Are you going to do more parts? And if you do so, would it be possible to produce some broken parts? Maybe if it is possible to be place so that one end ist higher then the other end of one traverse? It would be soooo great for filming. I don't know if it is possible, i'm sorry. My english ist not that good that I would be able to read to all the tutorials.

Who ever finds a typing misstake could keep it - nobody is perfect.
And sorry, my English is not perfect. As I am German, I try as good as I could.
