Description:
For sims that are sick of living in the suburbs, Backdoor Lane provides an alternative: a couple of small town lots with a more urban look and feel. They fit together like a jigsaw puzzle, creating a maze of backyard gardens and interconnected alleyways when placed in a tightly spaced neigbourhood. Most of them work as corner lots as well as facing the street, creating a very different impression depending on how you place them and what's on the lot next door.
Backdoor Lane 03
are two houses next to each other, a slightly smaller one (single sim or couple) and a slightly larger one for up to 4 sims. There is a small store on the back/side that currently sells lamps, it's not directly connected to the houses so either of the residents could run it. Both houses have a basement, one accessible from within the house and one from the outside. Two cars can park in the backyard.
This makes an excellent corner lot in either direction, but can also be used facing the street (on the screenshots it sits next to a market, to me it makes perfect sense that the store is facing the maketplace instead of the street).
House 1:
1 x double bedroom
1 x bathroom
1 x kitchen
1 x dining/living room
1 x basement
(If you need it, a second half-bath could be cut off the kitchen with access from the hallway)
House 2:
2 x double bedroom
2 x bathroom
1 x kitchen/dining
1 x living room
1 x basement (two rooms)
Store:
One storeroom and a small bathroom (toilet + sink).
Kinda semi-furnished, in order to indicate what goes where -- this isn't a cheap house, so I imagine the tenants will be pre-existing families that already have their own furniture. All basics are included though, as well as in- and outside lights, burglar alarms and so on. Phones are not on the screenshots, but I included them now (as well as an open/close sign for the store, that was missing als well).
Thank you:
This collection (frillen) as well as this one (loba) and that one (windkeeper), the mini lots by Andi8104 and the ones based thereupon (MaryLou) have been very useful in making the Backdoor Lane neighbourhood. Thanks for making them available.
Please don't PM me with neighbourhood terrain requests (look in the Neighbourhoods section instead), downloading issues (I can't help you -- look in Site Issues, Q-XPress forums etc), or Build Mode questions (general questions go here, lot specific questions in the d/l thread). Thanks.

- You may want to use the Sims2Pack Clean Installer instead of the game's installer, which will let you install sims and pets which may otherwise give errors about needing expansion packs. It also lets you choose what included content to install. Do NOT use Clean Installer to get around this error with lots and houses as that can cause your game to crash when attempting to use that lot. Get S2PCI here: Clean Installer Official Site.
