At first I was confused: "What is wrong with seeing the water?"

Then I read what the purpose of this hack is and was quite impressed. I for one may need it. It helps to read before commenting.

Thanks Numenor.

Thank you, I know the feeling of lag in large lots and big gardens.
Thank you, you did a great job and really fast, I was reading the BBS about this problem.

Thank you

Thank you!
I recently experienced lagging whenever the sprinklers are on, and this was just the thing.
Really, thank you :0)

I assume that there will also be no water when the sprinkler's break? Which one does like once every other Sim day -- or at least mine do.

Either way, I would rather have to Macro a repair or just hire a repair person than have to deal with the ...v...e...r...y... ...s...l...o...w... sprinklers with my poor old computer.

Thanks.

No, that is a different animation, that I've not removed: you will see the water dripping from broken sprinkles.

Diddo! I was just thinking the same thing when I read this. My computer lags with very large lots & also with lots of "Stuff" on a lot, so I may just NEED this as well.

Thanks Numenor for yet another useful hack! You are the man! :D

You mean that this hack makes your sims become invisible? It never happened to me... Or have I misunderstood?

Yes... At first I see that in Create- A- Sim. I accustom that. Then I put that family in one house. And in that house, they was still invisible...

Please double check your Downloads folder: it's absolutely impossible that this hack can affect the sims in any way; the "water effect" is only used in these sprinkles: making this effect invisible (better: removing the effect from the sprinkles) can't modify anything else.
In particular, even if the sims would use for whatever reason the water effect (it's just for discussion's purpose: this ipothesis is impossible), the effect is still intact in the game: simply, the sprinkles don't use it any more.

I'm sure you must either have some hack in you Downloads folder that is causing this problem, or you have some bad clothings or skins that are not correctly rendered in the game.

Thank you I was looking for a mod like this! I didn't realize the sprinklers were so graphic intensive until I placed them respectively all over one of my lots and had it running so slow!

Thankyouthankyouthankyouthankyou :x

I have a good computer (quad core 2.6, 250gts card, 6g ram) but the sprinklers STILL lagged the poop out of me when I had 20 of them on my massive mansion lot.

You're a lifesaver.

THANK YOU SO MUCH!!! I have a massive farm, 300+ plants all needing watered, and every time the damn sprinklers came on it locked up my whole computer. You have just saved my poor dying graphics card a little longer!
