Picked Upload! This is a picked upload! It showcases some of the best talent and creativity available on MTS and in the community.
I present to you.. the mini piggy!

This is a brand new pet for your Sims, based off of the womrat object from the Pets Expansion. (You must have the Pets EP installed to use this download). It has the same animations, sounds, and options as the womrat object. And just like the womrat, your Sims can feed it, play with it, etc. There's a little bit of clipping here and there, but nothing too bad.

This download has three new meshes: the Pig-Hut, (the cage), the Pet Piggy and the Piggy Food Box. All three of these meshes must be in your Downloads folder for this object to work properly. I've also included two extra recolors as well.

So enjoy my little Piggy, I hope you guys like him!

I'd also like to thank the creators who made the custom content on the girl in the screenshots:

HystericalParoxysm - for the clothes
Ren - for the hair
teru_k - for the skintone

(The girl in the screenshots has nothing to do with the pig or this download in any way, but I thought I should credit the creators since I used their beautiful stuff in my pictures).

Polygon Counts:
Pig Hut - "Faces: 884" "Vertices: 1357"
Piggy - "Faces: 1710" "Vertices: 2067"
Food Box - "Faces: 32" "Vertices: 60"

Basic Download and Install Instructions:

1. Download: Click the download link to save the .rar or .zip file(s) to your computer.

2. Extract the zip, rar, or 7z file.

3. Install: Double-click on the .sims2pack file to install its contents to your game. The files will automatically be installed to the proper location(s).
  • You may want to use the Sims2Pack Clean Installer instead of the game's installer, which will let you install sims and pets which may otherwise give errors about needing expansion packs. It also lets you choose what included content to install. Do NOT use Clean Installer to get around this error with lots and houses as that can cause your game to crash when attempting to use that lot. Get S2PCI here: Clean Installer Official Site.

Oh my god how funny!! this is too cool I love it!! Also this will work so much better in my medievalhood rather than that red plastic cage that just didn't look right so I never really used it but always wanted too. So thanks so much now I can have a little piggy in my hood once again.

This is sooo cool! I love the tusks.
I have a question though. This is the second new pet that I have seen made off of the womrat object and I was wondering if making new pets based off of the bird object would also be possible using the techniques used to make these new pets. I ask because I have been dying for new flying pets such as alternative bird types and bats and such. Heck if the bird object could be modified as much as it seems the womrat can all kinds of new possibilities for pets open up. Fairies for instance would be awesome for fantasy neighborhoods...kept a big glass jar instead of a cage or something. Anyway is this possible? If it is I would love to know more about the process involved.

I would assume so, all I'm really doing is cloning the cage, and the pet, and creating new meshes for them. The process is basically the same as a regular object, but slightly more complicated as you must retain the animation from the previous object, reassign joints, etc. There are a few lines in the BHAV you have to edit too, to make sure it summons the right object, but that's it

So yes, editing the bird should be just the same as the womrat. I was thinking of trying for a mini-dragon or something, (only problem is that it'd make those horrible bird noises.. maybe I can disable them, haa). Anyways, if you'd like a more in-depth idea of the process involved, send me a PM and I'll be more than happy to share

I'm actually not taking requests at the moment, mainly due to the time it takes to make these. I may make rabbits in the future though

Hehe, very nice, I like it. It's always nice to have more pets to choose from.

Any chance, though, that I may also be able to get a link to that Sim's hair? I like that too. :p
