Picked Upload! This is a picked upload! It showcases some of the best talent and creativity available on MTS and in the community.
**Updated 12 Jul 2007. I have corrected the language strings for the non-US users - there was some issue with them not saving in SimPe, but it's sorted out now. If your menus do not display correctly, then please download again. If you are not having issues there's no need to redownload**

Presented here, for your sims dining pleasure, the Nectarine Tartlette.

There was a lot of work put into these but I don't begrudge the time it took. I had to insert the whole preparation stage, which was quite challenging. Through doing the 4 restaraunt meals I have learned exactly how foods work & because of that I am able to make other, new foods YAY!!

As you can see, all of the animations are available. The sim properly prepares the food, cooks it & the food disappears from the plate as it should. Everything works - burned food, fresh food, Make/Make Many & Put Away Leftovers. The sim requires cooking skill level 4 & because these new foods came out with NightLife you'll need to have it installed.

A bit of history on this: Squinge originally extracted all of the restaraunt meals & I had updated them for him last year. The problem was that those meals never had any preparation animations. Squinge has given me a lot of encouragement plus I am just plain determined. Finally I have finished making the new meshes & figuring out how to properly animate these. So, please, if you have the old versions, delete them because (with Squinge's agreement) I have used his original GUIDs - we are trying to be a bit economical with the GUIDs. If you look inside the file you will see Squinge's name in there - it is my way of ackowledging him even though I started these new foods completely new. You can find Squine at InSiminator

I'm hungry! Thanks Morague.

Sorry I can't take requests anymore!
And I will probably never convert my creations for TS2 to TS3.

I cannot say how much I have wanted this/these. It was a real sucky move for Maxis to not make at least one of them cookable. Thank you, thank you very much.

I shall not go gently into that good night...

So one of my Sims will always go for this when he autonomously gets a meal--I guess he's just got that sweet tooth! Thanks for it!

Wonderful work! Me and my simmians thank you!

Wow, it's beautiful outside. I should probably do something....

Like close the blinds on my window so there isn't a glare on my computer screen.

One of my sims orders this often (because I think it sounds delicious, hehe) and I was disappointed she couldn't make it at home. Thank you!!

This is really awesome; it looks lovely in game! (I've had it in my game when I played TS2 before, but just re-added it today, and I really love it. In fact, I love this whole series.)

One thing I did notice, though not in any way a problem, is that this is adding a new menu to my fridges: "Have Desert." It's the only thing in that category, and it's showing up just fine under "Serve Desert" and "Make Food for Contest" (I don't have OFB installed, so no "Make" or "Make Many" options for me). I suppose if leftovers actually went bad in fridge/inventory in this game, it would be really helpful for single sims to have that option! I haven't tried making the single serving yet, but the group meal works perfectly.

Thank you that my sims can eat this at home now.
What's your policy on this? Can we clone the tartlette to make other ones at home?
