Hi...I love your recolors, but Peggy's mesh won't download. If you press the download button, all that comes up is a huge text file.
Any suggestions?
Thanks!

If you are having problems downloading the mesh, try using Firefox. It works fine for me downloading that way.

If you have continued issues downloading the mesh contact Peggy as it's her mesh and you're having issues getting stuff from her site. Please do that rather than continued posting here... Downloading the mesh works fine and doesn't really, well, have anything to do with these beautiful recolours of that mesh.

HystericalParoxysm is right. Use Firefox or Safari to download the mesh and the recolors. Or, read post #7 below and follow those directions. I know not everyone can chose their web browser.

I usually use Firefox so I didn't notice the problem until someone at InSim pointed it out. This was a few hours before I got on a plane to travel 5000 miles so I didn't get a chance to update the mesh information until now. I am traveling so I will try to mention it to Peggy Sims but you can also.

How to get around Internet Explorer Download Problem
12/22/2007: The download problem with this mesh got fixed when Peggy Sims 2 moved to Peggy Zone so this is obsolete information. I left it as it is still a good trick to have up your sleeve.

-------------------------------------------------------------------
Inspire at InSim in post #13 offers this suggestion on how to download the mesh for these recolors if you don't want to use Firefox or another browser:

Quote:
For those of you having trouble downloading the mesh from Peggy Sims 2 with IE, I had the same problem so what I did was to right Click on the download box that you click on to download the file and then select 'save target as' and in the window that pops up you should see that the file name it is going to save it as, ends in .Htm instead of .rar so just change the .htm to .rar then save it and it will download properly and work.

Several people including myself have tested this and found that it works. Give it a try if you are having trouble downloading the mesh.

Thank you for these wonderful recolors! I love them, and I love your work! I'm not really sure that I understand how being unable to access the mesh that makes these lovely retextures work has nothing to do with them, but thanks for taking the time to explain to IE users how to get it, even if they weren't supposed to post their problem here.

Thanks for this, your recolors are lovely. And thanks for the tip for IE users.

Thanks! I am quite fond of him myself. I am a little hazy on what I used when I made him but I believe he is one of Terrakosmos' replacement CAS default faces. Terrakosmos did a great job keeping the character in her default faces. I must add that the Goldbeere/Opeu skin (pale freckles nose) worked wonders on this particular face. He just came alive when I put the that skin on him. Yes, the copper shade really does go well with that skin.

I may have touched his face up slightly but not much as I generally save all my patience for working on hair.

You have made me so happy. I'm working on making my boyfriend in the sims, and I was sad because I couldn't find any hair like his (his is a bit longer, and kinda wavy, but other than that, the same as this one), and then i found this one and it works really well. ^-^ I'm so happy. Thanks! <3

Peggy Sims 2 is now Peggy Zone at www.peggyzone.com

I have updated the new mesh location so the mesh link is correct and working now.

Is there anywhere else I could find the mesh, Peggy Zone doesn't seem to have it anymore?

I too am having real difficulty finding the mesh for this beautiful hairstyle on Peggy Zone. I followed the link given by Tirsa5 above, but the mesh isn't there either.

Does anyone have a solution to the Mystery of the Missing Mesh? This hairstyle looks like a great addition to the game, and being unable to find its mesh is really frustrating.

I found it here: https://hat-plays-sims.dreamwidth.org/13903.html, though the ponytail's slightly lower and longer.
