This is a featured upload! It showcases the best talent and creativity available on MTS and in the community.
I've been alerted the download doesn't work... and continues so, no matter what I do.
You can find everything at the Boldly Go here:
And when you're there, don't forget to look around. :-)

There was a problem which turned only the roads starry for some people. I tried to fix it, so please redownload.
I have also added the black sky projector recolour variant, to let you choose.

This is my first upload and in most part it is a homage to Jasonduskey and his wonderfull ships.
I'd like to give you the whole space for them, because nothing less can express how gratefull I am. :-)

I made this by using the Waterworld by QwinsepiaSquared as a guide and doing basically the very same thing with other textures. I hope I haven't violated any author rights, but Qwinsepia isn't here at the moment and can't answer me. If it's not Ok, just contact me and I'll take it down.

I owe my thanks to:
QwinsepiaSquared, whose terrain I used to know what to do (her original waterworld is here:
Jasonduskey, who was behind this by making all of his ships (go to his profile at to find the ships in the screenshots and much, much more) and all sci-fi modders in general

This isn't anything of a big deal and you can do anything you want with it, show it in screenshots, tweak or whatever you want...

EDIT 19. April: Two weeks ago I've uploaded my recolour of Oberkorn's sky holoprojector, but it has not been approved or rejected. Being a rather new creator, I don't know how normal this is and I've decided to add the file to this thread. I hope there isn't any problem, if there is, please contact me

Soobok6336 suggested a space sky and this idea intrigued me, so after some searching I made this. It is a recolour of Oberkorn's sky holoprojector found here: (you need the mesh from there) and it is far from perfect, the stars are too big to match the terrain exactly for example, but I haven't been able to come up with something better just yet. If I ever manage to perfect it, I will update.

It can be useful for storytelling, but I'm not sure how would it work with real playing, because sometimes I have problems to grab the object again after placing and when I get too close to it, it tends to dissappear like the trees do. I'm not able to fix that though.

Credit goes to Oberkorn for making the mesh in the first place and to all the kind people, who liked my terrain and let me know by commenting or hitting the 'Thanks' button. I appreciate that very much and this is my gift to all of them.

You must have the expansion or stuff packs listed below installed to use this custom content. Please see the post text for any exceptions.

So great! Better than having a Galaxy class ship flying over a grassy plain (unless someone wants to make deco cows for the neighborhood ).

It might look I'm doing nothing, but at the molecular level I'm really quite busy.

I've been waiting for this with fingers crossed. This is sweet. Thank you.
Question: What happened to the architecture on the Vor'cha there? It kind of dissapeared.

Thank you, thank you, thank you! I've been hoping someone would make something like this - right now, the best I can do for my Trek neighbourhood is to have it appear as a night-time asteroid (well, sort of), and that leaves far too much to be desired. But no more, thanks to you! Yay!

It works best with Strangetown or similar terrains without water or neighborhood flora

Jasonduskey: I don't know what happened to the ship. That picture was taken in the neiberhood view and I didn't find out what the problem was. When I enter the lot, it looks completely normal.

Eliskuya: The second picture with only one starship is taken in the lot and not the neiberhood view, so you can see quite clearly, what happens. The stars replace the default grass even on the lots.

To all: I'm really, really glad you like it. It's the firts time I really dared make somthing on my own!
I can't do anything with the cars unfortunately, but... well, better than nothing.
By the way, if you want me to do something else with the roads (like it is now they're visible only when you zoom close, where you can see smaller stars closer to each other), let me now and I'll try. :-)

I can't speak for evryone, but I like the roads the way they are.
I really like your avatar. Right before my laptop died, I had a tough-as-nails bridge commander on the U.S.S. Valkyrie (a Miranda Class) that looked a lot like your avatar. I really miss some of the simmies I created.

Default Not really related to the thread, but...
Couldn't figure out how to attatch all the pics to a PM. This is just a teaser, they're mostly finished, but I need to do some tweaking.

It'll probably take me a day or 2 to edit the BHAVs so that different objects from the set affect different skills. As soon as that's finished, I'll be uploading.

Thank you so much! I have been searching high and low for a space terrain. No one else seems to have created one. I was wondering, has anyone come across anyone who has created a sky that also resembles space?

Soobok: Hm... I haven't seen that, but there was something like a sky holoprojector on MTS, so I can try to find it and make a recolour of that, to match my terrain. But I can't promise anything, I'm not that good.

I have made and uploaded a spacey recolour of a sky holoprojector, if it gets approved, it should appear here shortly.

Thanks for the referral. Oberkorn's sky holoprojector starry sky recolor works well with your mod. I can't wait to see your recolor.

The recolour was uploaded on April 5th, but it has not been approved yet. It seems we all must wait... but it's been done. :-)
