Thanks everyone for the kind feedback

Simadore, unfortunately since this is a Bon Voyage beach lot I can't do it in a base game/Night Life only form. I have been rolling around ideas for non-beach base game homes though, you may see one in the near future.

This is such a wonderful house, I've been searching for something like this for a long time. It's hard to find good-quality beach houses that are suitable for big families (mine is ever-growing... a two-bedroom house just isn't goin' to cut it!).

I downloaded this and placed it in Bluewater Village of Riverblossom Hills. For some reason, every time I try to go into the house in build mode, it crashes my game. It doesn't do it with any of my other lots, and I have all of the expansions listed. I have no idea what's going wrong with it. I was so disappointed! I really do love this house.

gutterflow3r,

Bluewater Village was one of the neighborhoods I wasn't able to get it to fit on, I'm surprised you were able to even place it.

I *think* what causes the crashing/inability to place beach lots in some neighborhoods is the difference in land "thickness" where the flat part near the street starts sloping down toward the water. I noticed if I messed with that at all, even in the neighborhood in which I built the house, I would have crashing or not being able to place the lot. Not that any of that helps you, unless you'd like to place the lot in a neighborhood that doesn't crash it, and twiddle with the land height (painstaking stuff there, and I'm not sure it would work).

I was building these houses mainly for myself (I like to do big families too), and my beach Sims all live in my custom neighborhoods. I've been toying with the idea of rebuilding some of these lots in Maxis neighborhoods when I have the time. Perhaps I'll give that a shot with this house first.

I'm sorry it's not working out for you, but thanks a lot for the feedback. I'll try to figure something out.

Hmn... that may just be it. It only fits in one place in Bluewater, and it took a lot of fiddling to get it to fit there, so perhaps it really is just the placement... problem being, my favourite family lives in Riverblossom, and I'm not sure I can place it there! A bit of a predicament, really. :P

But thank you kindly for the reply! I understand what's going on with it now. Do you know if any of the beach lot sizes would fit in Bluewater somewhere? I would absolutely love to see this one re-done to fit, when and if you get the time of course! I've been searching for a house like it all night, but to no avail... ah... for now, they'll be living in your Rambling Victorian house. I love it too, but I am so bent on having them live on a beach. I think I'm too finicky. :P

OK folks, I've added 5 Pelican Lane Maxis.zip for those of you playing Maxis neighborhoods. I rebuilt the house in a Maxis 'hood and was able to move it around/enter it in other Maxis neighborhoods (it may still be tricky placement as Maxis doesn't make "level" shorelines, but it should work). There may be slight cosmetic difference as it was rebuilt from scratch, but it's 99% the same house. Hope that works for you

Thanks so much for this. I'm still getting the crash error when I try to load the new house, I haven't a clue what on earth could be going wrong with it. I've tried removing my CC folder, placingthe lot in different spots (in BWV), but for some reason it still won't work, and it's the only lot that's doing it. Totally puzzled.

But! I'm just being a complainosaur now. :P

Ugh I'm so sorry, I just have no idea what's going on. Someone else is having problems with BWV too, but I was totally able to move the Maxis.zip around and enter it in different "clean" neighborhoods (ones not attached to other 'hoods, and including BWV), no problems. I forgot this is one of the reasons I have been only building on my terrains, they're all the same shoreline height/level, building on Maxis beach terrains is so frustrating.

I'm flush out of ideas. I'm about 90% positive it's something with the terrain depth in the packaged house and the depth where you're trying to move it, but...well not much I can do there I'm so sorry it's not working.

*edit* I just had an idea. I'll try one more thing and try get a test version up sometime tonight for you.

I love this series of houses. I've used 1,2, and 3 in several of my neighbourhoods and they're gorgeous. However 4, 5 and 6 crash my game. I use custom neighbour hoods so chose that version, when they didn;t work ,I downloaded the maxis version. Still crashed my game. I tried blue water village as a trial. It still crashed. Can anyone advise???I just love these houses.
