Hey:

I have tried to get this to you for weeks. My morale is low, if not unexistant. For the most pathetic details this lot didn't make it through the moderation queue again and again. The screenshots were "too dark" (hello, is a haunted house), some recolours got into the packaged lot without being needed, and trying to take them out I ended up with a corrupted file, then the screenshots needed to be updated, etc, etc, etc...

I have felt like giving up many times.

BUT I WON'T!!!

So here, for the millionth time, I bring to you, THE BALDWIN MANSION, FROM SILENT HILL 2!!!

(it's the mansion where Maria meets Ernest in "Born From A Wish")(thank you ValTanner)

I took out a lot of the CC, so the house is not as good as I wanted it to. But still, I think it has the crucial elements to be enjoyable. Please check the screenshots for details...

And Mr or Ms Moderator:
Please upload it? please?

I'll have some tea now. Thank you very much.

Basic Download and Install Instructions:

1. Download: Click the download link to save the .rar or .zip file(s) to your computer.

2. Extract the zip, rar, or 7z file.

3. Install: Double-click on the .sims2pack file to install its contents to your game. The files will automatically be installed to the proper location(s).
  • You may want to use the Sims2Pack Clean Installer instead of the game's installer, which will let you install sims and pets which may otherwise give errors about needing expansion packs. It also lets you choose what included content to install. Do NOT use Clean Installer to get around this error with lots and houses as that can cause your game to crash when attempting to use that lot. Get S2PCI here: Clean Installer Official Site.

Crap, I need to play SH2 again, I sadly don't remember this mansion. I feel so bad.

But thank you so much for a SH lot! I love this little things, as SH is one of my favorite series. Keep it up! And your hard work paid off well, it looks lovely.

It's from that extra scenario on the director's cut version, the one that you play with Maria. That could be the reason why you don't remember.

It's cool to find out there's some sh fans on mts2

Oh wow, I am so glad you didn't give up on this! It was well worth the effort, trust me. You did a great job recapturing the atmosphere--very spooky! Thank you so much for sharing your hard work and talent with us.

Happy Simming,
Mairi

Ah, ok. I'm gonna have to look for that on my SH2. The only haunted mansion thing I remember is in SH3. That place was cool.

How frustrating for you to have so many troubles in bringing us this wonderful house! I am glad you stuck with it, though, because it is incredible. I only know SH4: The Room, but this house is wonderful, and you captured the mood of the series very well.

If you ever get discouraged again and feel like maybe no one appreciates all your hard work, know that I - and so many others here - appreciate you very much.

Thank you,

Ah, it's the mansion where Maria meets Ernest in "Born From A Wish"! I couldn't place the mansion either... you should probably mention that in the actual post. ^^ Just a thought... great work, though! I've seen the game played, so I'm not the best expert on the layout of the building... haha But, it's Silent Hill inspired...what's not to love!
