This is a new mesh, and means that it's a brand new self contained object that usually does not require a specific Expansion pack (although this is possible depending on the type). It may have Recolours hosted on MTS - check below the description for more information.
Picked Upload! This is a picked upload! It showcases some of the best talent and creativity available on MTS and in the community.
*UPDATE 2* A simple update to the file to correct a spelling mistake in the catalogue description pointed out by 73rd_survivor. If you don't bother with reading the catalogue descriptions then you don't really need this file.

*UPDATE* I have altered the mesh slightly so that the base is now closer to a square than a rectangle. This is mearly an asthetic change to better fit with the mannequins I am currently working on. If you do download the new file then just let it overwrite the old as they have the same file name.

Today I bring to you a female shop mannequin!
This was the first ever object I started working on in July 2007 but I stopped working on it when SimPE started throwing errors that wouldn't let me import the mesh.
I discovered the files again the other day and decided to have a go at finishing it off and managed to get it to work this time!

The mannequin costs 250 simoleons and has its own catalogue description.
I've made six recolours as well which you can either download seperately or all in one file. The purple and green colours are edited from MAXIS textures and the other colours are MAXIS textures.

Providing this is recieved well and works in peoples games I have plans to make a series of mannequins for all ages and genders, hopefully in a few different styles as well.

You can now download a female mannequin in a dress here.

Please feel free to create recolours but don't upload the mesh file or my colours anywhere else.

Polygon Counts:
Vertices: 1841 according to SimPE Should be less than an actual Sim as the model has no head.

Additional Credits: SimPE Wes H for the Milkshape plugins
tiggerypum, Histerical Paroxysm and JWoods for tutorials
Jimbo64 for fixing a lighting issue

Style: Contemporary
Room: Study
Maxis Flags: Not Applicable

You must have the expansion or stuff packs listed below installed to use this custom content. Please see the post text for any exceptions.

Let me be the first to say, thank you. My sim clothing shops just don't seem right without proper mannequins. I hope you do make a few other mannequins to add to the collection.

Not only would I happily look forward to the mannekins, but could you do the recolors as wearable outfits too?

Edit: Could you also do a white sneaker and shoe option, and maybe some wearable outfits with different colored shirts with white or black sneakers?

I could give it a go. I do still have the textures I used for these so It shouldn't be too difficult. I'll see what I can rustle up.

I love these! I've always avoided making clothing shops for my Sims because they looked silly without any mannequins in them.

Thank you!

There's always money in the banana stand.

Oh wow. I'm already obsessed with making shopping districts in my sim towns. Here's another catalyst. Pretty soon I'm just going to be sitting in my room, building shops, mumbling to myself " more homework...must build trendy shop next to bakery...I don't have time to write headlines for these stupid advertising projects!".

Haha. There goes my career. And it's all EA's fault.

Awesome! Love them. I would love if you could make some creepy mannequins, too. Ya know, like all bloodied up and gruesome. Just a thought. :P

Just recolour it as though you are making clothing in BodyShop. The only difference is you have to include the skintone as well.
I hope that makes sense.
There's a beige bit to the left of the texture as well which is where the stand colour is read from.

Brilliant! These are great for more choice ingame, and they fit in well with games that are using mainly maxis content.

Cool, Thanks! Glad to see others getting into this as well! Adult Male mannequins would be great! Ability to click on and select outfits would be fantastic!!! Thank you!

these are great! ... it would also be cool if they had a head and no base then we could use them as fake sims.

Could you try putting on old clothing on the mannequins like shirtwaists, or victorian dresses or even one of those mannequins that only shows the torso

Is it possible to creat a mannequin that can wear custome clothing?
