This is a new mesh, and means that it's a brand new self contained object that usually does not require a specific Expansion pack (although this is possible depending on the type). It may have Recolours hosted on MTS - check below the description for more information.
A 29-piece modular pipe organ. The wide variety of pieces allow for endless combinations able to fit into any sized space. From a small house organ in your living room to a towering cathedral pipe organ you can create just about anything.

The package includes a four-manual organ console, 28 decorative pieces for the pipework construction, a matching floor and wallpaper, and a collection file grouping them all together in-game.

To install simply place the components of the "Modular Organ, Organ Wall, and Organ Floor" Folders into your downloads folder. Place the file from the "Organ Collection" folder in your collections folder.

For sound, place the "OrganSound" file into your downloads folder with the other parts.

You need both the organparts and organsound download to get it to work.

***Note About The Console***
The console can be merged with the pipe boxes with the move objects cheat, however, the pipe boxes must be placed first, and the console second. If the console is placed first and the boxes second, the game will try and place them on the organ bench and it won't work so it must be done the other way.

*Important Note about the sound*
The sounds will play at random, they are not sorted by skill.
They will not flow from one to the next. The practice option must be re-initiated for another song. Often, it chooses not to play anything. Just retry until you get sound.
I'm sorry if this sounds unappealing but after weeks of various attempts and advice from others, this is an unavoidable problem. It works as well as anyone has been able to do so far.

***Updated***
-Updated meshes and texture mapping for pipework pieces
-New texture for better looking pipes
-5 additional pieces
-New base objects for better compatability
-Custom Sound for the Organ Console
The new parts overwrite most of the old ones, but do not replace them in-game, Sorry.

*Track List of Sounds:
Toccata in F Major -J.S. Bach
Chorale -Myself
Fugue in F Major -J.S. Bach
Lux Aurumque -Eric Whitacre
Jesu, Joy of Man's Desiring -J.S. Bach
Fugue in D Major -J.S. Bach
Prelude in G Major -J.S. Bach
Fugue in G Major -J.S. Bach
Prelude in D Major -J.S. Bach

Please don't ask me why I haven't included Toccata and Fugue in D minor (or any other piece).
My list is chosen from pieces carefully balancing audio quality, size, length, musicality, and quality of the score from which they were recorded to give you almost 45 minutes of music in the 9 track/10MB maximum.

You are welcome to recolour the objects (that are colour enabled). The object may be packaged with lots that use them (since it would be difficult to rebuild the organ if not included) but may only be uploaded to FREE sites such as MTS2 and please provide a link back here for others. DO NOT re-work the meshes without prior permission from me.

*Please Note - When fully assembled, this object can have a very high poly count. The more parts you use, the higher it will be.

This is absolutely a great idea! The option using several modules to build an organ will surely decorate any church I downloaded during the last years. Thank you for all the work and for sharing it. I'm impressed.

Thank you so much, this is awesome! My dad builds pipe organs so I've been around them all my life and I'm really amazed by the detail here--very impressive.

I have only 1 thing to say(well 2 things actually) 1. There's already a hack on this website that makes custom sounds for custom instruments. 2. You need to get it fixed, because with or without freetime the foulders and files can't get into my game, and why you might ask? well let's just say I downloaded the files and WinRAR keeps giving pop-up windows, something about the file being corrupt

Have you tried on separate days? If a file is corrupt it won't download that day. Did you download them at the same time? With larger files, if they're being downloaded at the same time, WinRAR will "crash" and neither will work.

Great Work!
Thank you so much for all the time you spent creating this pipe organ, and for the selection of music files to accompany it.
So much flexibility with all the components, the combinations are endless!
I have wanted this object for churches, cathedrals, and theatres.
Thank you also for so generously sharing your wonderful creation with us.

Among Sims 2 content creeators,
I count you as royalty.

Yes, try downloading again. I have always had trouble downloading files from MTS2. I use Firefox with its downloader window. As I watch the byte count increase, suddenly it will read as completed. But when I check the size of the downloaded file it will often fall short of the stated size in the post. I download again and it picks up where it left off. With large files, sometimes I download 5 or more times before the whole thing is on my PC.
I've never had that problem anywhere but here. I don't know why that is, but I just know to keep on until the file on my PC is the same size as stated in the posting, else WinRAR will find that the content is incomplete when it tries to unpack the file.

Wow! This is awesome! I love pipe organs! It will make my orchestra complete. Thank you very much for adding custom sound! Am I correct in assuming that the sound package is just put into the downloads folder and that no special installation methods are needed?

As for files downloading corrupted, MTS2 is not the only site I've had that results in the .rar files saying they are missing the header. Anytime my connection gets slow due to high latency (I'm on satellite and it blows) it can corrupt files. The larger the file the higher the chance of corruption. It even happens with Internet Explorer. I think it has to do with the speed of the connection (either from serverside or ISP side).

ps. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for everyone in the path of Ike.

great work, but several pipe pieces and wood flutes are missing, as well as the console. the files are in the download but have not showed up in the game at all.

if any of the parts are directly related to bon voyage, i can't use them.

I've already got ideas to use some of the Sims 3's capabilities for one that's even better. As soon as the ability to make custom objects is figured out, I'm gonna start. Unfortunately, it may not be playable until they release a piano for the game...
