I am pretty sure that I have strays on my community lots, especially if I take a pet with my sims. Huge annoyance!!! Can you make it so no other pets show up except my sims's pet? Or maybe his' and other playable sims' pets?

Yes debznz, stick it in Downloads and it should work fine.

crocobaura, the game does allow strays if you are already bringing a pet of your own for the trip. But when only human Sims are in your group, that is when there will never be any strays on the lot. And if you want all strays to go away, you can edit my hack with SimPE. Just set all of the values to 0 (zero) and then no strays will ever show up even when you bring your own pets for the ride.

Thanks, my poor Jynx was beside herslef when her favorite pet wouldn't move in because the house was too big and then when her older sister moved to the university she never saw her little dog, again. Hopefully with this I should be able to find him, again.

Congratulations Dickhurt ! You got a very good idea there. At first, after downloading your hack I was disappointed. No strays appeared in 3 lots and I began to think your hack did not work, but suddendly they came, peeing everywhere, blocking the passage and destroying the furniture again, like in the good old time.
Excellent ! I wonder what the developpers think at EAxis. If we buy a pets expansion it is to see pets, and a lot of them, even if they are often annoying.

If some people don't want strays on specific lots there are already some "no pet" hacks available. I personnally use Inge's one at http://www.simlogical.com/sl/Sims2P...ms2_Petting.htm
Along with your own hack now the game runs as it would be. Strays when and where we wants them. I paid the EP 34 euros and for that price I want to see cats and dogs in the game. Their disparition is not even documented in the patch description, a shame. If I knew this I would certainly not install the patch
Thank you very much.

Just to let you know, this works and does not conflict with TwoJeffs Visitor Controller (Since many people use that mod). Like Inge's mod, it allows you to choose which lots pets are not allowed in.

Now I can go to the park and play with the animals, and still go to a fancy restaurant and not worry that Rover is peeing in the dining room, ruining the engagement proposal!

Running: Sims2, Uni, NL, OFB, Pets, Seasons, BV, FT & AL. Patched.

Thank you! I missed having my sims find other sims' lost pets on community lots, reading their collars and getting them home.

When I got sims pets, I thought, 'Oh, this is so cool! i can make a story where a family loses their pets, and then a few years later someone finds it and returns it!'
but i couldnt make the strays on the lot, so no one could find it and return it! Thanks alot for making this story possible!

Default Solved
I have a problem after I removed the hack (my graphic card died, now I have a cheap one so I had to remove this great hack to avoid the lag): now strays won't visit residential lots either. Wolves, ordinary and pack leaders, will, but not simple stray pets.
I removed Pescado's nostrayrespawn to test, and while the game does generate 15 new strays (like there wasn't enough of them clogging the characters folder), I still never get to see them anywhere.
N.B. This doesn't affect new neighbourhoods created after I used, then removed this hack, where cats and dogs visit residential lots normally.

Any idea of what I could do to fix this would be greatly appreciated

EDIT.: After I restarted the game, and loaded another household, one of the 15 new strays ended showing up. So maybe the "old" ones are not eligible any more, or maybe they will eventually show up too, anyway, problem solved!

I'd like one that allows pets/strays outside buildings on community lots, but doesn't let them come in through doors. Sort of the way it works on residential lots, where the strays can't come in unless you invite them by interacting with them.
