This is a new mesh, and means that it's a brand new self contained object that usually does not require a specific Expansion pack (although this is possible depending on the type). It may have Recolours hosted on MTS - check below the description for more information.

July 10, 2008 - A few people have found this not to work without Free Time. I have added a version without the code for the enthusiam, which was causing it not to work for you. If you do not have Free Time you need to download the NoEP version. I have tested this in Life Stories and it does work fine.

A few months ago Kate at http://www.parsimonious.org/ asked me for a Hot Air Balloon that could would go up and down. I owe the whole idea for this creations to her. Please be sure to check her site for her "Vintage Hot Air Balloon" and about 1000 new uploads in honor of her sites 5th birthday.

My version works differently than Kate's, and is not nearly as beautiful. The animations took me weeks to get insync. I have found at times during the ride the sims will drop a little too low, but the actual animations are in sync so I think this may actually happen when there is a lag in my computer. If this bothers you please don't download. I get some complaints about my animations and frankly I'm a little tired of them. I do the best I can with the tools I have. Even if I were to charge for my creations, I don't feel I could get much better animations. Milkshape only has the capability of doing 1k animations, while EA creators use Maya that has 2k capabilities.

Entry and exit animations are my manually edit to the hot tub jumpin and out. Credit for the idea for the outgoing sims to get ill after riding, goes to Kate's husband.

I have found a fix recolors will stay after the end of a ride...finally!

This item is found under Hobbies/Miscellaneous for $2500. It does not depreciate.

Sims will gain enthusiam for Nature, fun and Logic skills while riding in the balloon.

Warning the ride is somewhat lengthly don't have your sims take a ride just before school or work. The landing portion does take a little time.

I include 3 recolors.

I have these set to be viewable from the neighborhood also.

Enjoy!

Rebecah, this creation is one of the most interesting of these last months.
I've already spent about an hour to check the wonderful anniversary set but your baloon is the genius touch indeed. It obviously also makes happy all those sims1 simmer like me that enjoyed the Making Magic baloon.

This hot air balloon is awesome but my sims can't ride in it. It can only come down from the sky.

I think all of your creations are great!! Especially the bike! Thanks!

LOVE IT! I'm in shock that anyone would criticize your work. It seems so childish not to realize that downloads that are offered on sites like this one are labors of love. Being untalented that way, I truly appreciate your work!

This looks great. And anyone who complains about your animations should just go try to do it themselves. If they think they can do better, I'd like to see it. I'll be eagerly awaiting recolors of this, I'm sure someone will want to make them.

It's a whole new level of nifty! Tell those whiny people to go make their own animations if they don't like yours. Let them get an appreciation for how much work goes into your projects.

I think your work is fabulous! I always check to see if you have something new out.

If a person does not like a small glitch in an animation they can always remove it from their game, simple, huh?
You cannot please everyone all of the time, so don't sweat it.
Even Maxis makes mistakes, hehehe! Count their patches.

Thank you so much for your work, I am very happy with this, I cannot even draw a stick-man that does not look like he has been in an accident!
