Picked Upload! This is a picked upload! It showcases some of the best talent and creativity available on MTS and in the community.
This basic set of motorway decorations allows you to diversify your neighborhood look.

Please keep in mind, that this set is mostly for advanced simmers, with some kind of experience on making custom neighborhoods and using of neighborhood camera modds.

If you don’t have enough info about all this stuff, I recommend you to check the MTS2 tutorials.

Now, some info about the set.
It contains:
1. Motorway straight piece.
2. Road overpass.
3. Motorway piece with overpass and exits on both sides.
4. Motorway piece with exit to road, one side.
5. Motorway piece with exit to road, both sides.
6. Pedestrian overpass.

Recommendations and explanations:
Fist of all, I’d like to say that this set is an eye candy only.
Since it’s a neighborhood decoration, it will not work as a real neighborhood road and you will not able to place any lots next to it.

It does not animated, so you will not see any cars, moving along the motorway or any of the pieces of this set.

But any object of this set can be placed over the road and also over the lot, so if you want to have some cars on your motorway, just put it over exiting road.

It is highly recommended to have a Free Time EP installed, to be able to edit exiting terrain, for better use of this set. Because of it was created for totally flat terrain, it may look bad on any kind of hills, mountains and terrain slopes – please keep this in mind when you will work on a motorway in your neighborhood.

If you have a Free Time EP, use ‘modifyneighborhoodterrain on/off’ option (here you can find more info about this Free Time EP option), in other case, make sure that the terrain of your ‘hood does contain some flat area, where the motorway can be placed.

You will also need a lot of patience and some experience during motorway construction, since there is no snapping to grid in neighborhood mode.

Just put all the files from the zip to your S2 downloads folder.
All the elements will appear in ‘Misc’ submenu of Neighborhood decorations.

Have fun!

Polygon Counts:
Motorway straight piece: 1668
Motorway road overpass: 372
Complex overpass with exits: 3076
Two side exits: 2836
One side exits: 2700
Pedestrian overpass: 460

I love this set. The neighbourhoods look so much more alive and just more convincing with your sets, it's wonderful. For this set I feel something's missing though and it's a part to drive onto the motorway in one direction only... do I make sense?

Like this: -----<====== lol if you see what I mean.

I've always wanted an overpass. I was going to make one myself, but I lack the knowledge on constructing meshes. Thank you.

I really don't know if I'm allowed to post these pics here, but I felt so thrilled when I did this scene on my game that I felt like I HAD to show you the amazing effects your set provides us!

Note: These are NOT photoshopped pics, they are real game photos!

I've just created my first contemporary 'hood, and this is just what it needs! says at the bottom that I need the University expansion for this; is that really the case? I know that sometimes those icons at the bottom aren't accurate, and I want these enough to actually ask. oh, and thanks!!

It#s great ! I really would like to use it in my neighborhoods, but I am unable to unpack it. It always says, "corrupted archive". Tried several times to redownload without luck.(Same thing with the tramway set. The loops are ok, but the straights and the cars are corrupted.)
