This is a featured upload! It showcases the best talent and creativity available on MTS and in the community.

I've always wanted my sims to be able to skate around (not limited to the skating rink only) so I went and made this little object that will let the sims do so.

Children through elders can use this. It comes in the shape of a toy box, costs 25 simoleons and sits in Hobbies/Recreation. Now I know people don't keep their skates in a toy box nor it is a good idea to do that, but my meshing skill is practically non-existant as of yet and I can't think of a better shape for it.

You can put this thing in a community lot and make a skating park like I did. Note that I recommend taking the skates off before leaving a lot. I don't think it can cause problems if you leave them on, but in my experience they automatically revert to their skateless state anyway.

Basic Download and Install Instructions:

1. Download: Click the download link to save the .rar or .zip file(s) to your computer.

2. Extract the zip, rar, or 7z file.

3. Place in Downloads Folder: Cut and paste the .package file(s) into your Downloads folder:

I think this is groovy! The huge platforms of the skating rinks have always caused a huge amount of lag in my game.

Awesome! I took my rollerblades (and previously regular roller skates) throughout the city, and never even went to a rink!

i love that it has the option to roller skate instead of automatically chosing for you as i am completely opposed to inline skates. gets added to my growing treeag d/l folder.
