This is a featured upload! It showcases the best talent and creativity available on MTS and in the community.
Category: Apartments
lot size: 3x4
furnished: totally (almost all maxis furnished)
Apartments: 4
tested: yes, as usual i've tested a clone
§: from 2.349 to 3.671

My version of Diagon Alley, where all my witches live.

two file are available:
DiagonAlley.rar it's the lot without magic objects
DiagonAlley_magic.rar it's the lot with magic objects like cauldrons, magic books, magic reagents for potions in all kitchens, lamps, applique and floor magic lamp. (all that wizard can create)

I uploaded both lots because the one with magic objects seems to slow down the game, even if it's finer. But I don't have a powerful pc, so maybe the problem is mine.

DiagonAlley normal lot begin with autumn, as usual. DiagonAlley_magic begin with winter, so you can live immediately the fearful atmosphere of this dark Avenue.

Apts are furnished in dark-magic style.
Click HERE for a section of one of apts.

Play setting the camera with THESE directions

To rent an apartment furnished:
* CTRL-SHIFT-C to bring up the cheat box.
* Enter the following cheat: boolProp testingCheatsEnabled true
* Walk your sim to the front door of the apartment that you want to rent. They need to be standing right in front of the door.
* Clear any actions from your sim's queue - including other sims trying to talk to them.
* SHIFT-click on the door of the apartment you wish to rent and choose "Rent Furnished."
* If the action falls out of your queue, your sim probably needs to be closer to the door.
* Once the apartment is rented, bring up the cheat box again.
* Enter: boolProp testingCheatsEnabled false to turn the cheat off again.

Basic Download and Install Instructions:

1. Download: Click the download link to save the .rar or .zip file(s) to your computer.

2. Extract the zip, rar, or 7z file.

3. Install: Double-click on the .sims2pack file to install its contents to your game. The files will automatically be installed to the proper location(s).
  • You may want to use the Sims2Pack Clean Installer instead of the game's installer, which will let you install sims and pets which may otherwise give errors about needing expansion packs. It also lets you choose what included content to install. Do NOT use Clean Installer to get around this error with lots and houses as that can cause your game to crash when attempting to use that lot. Get S2PCI here: Clean Installer Official Site.

maybe I don't understand your question, you ask me how to place the shelves one above other? naturally with "moveobjects on" and the keys to upper and lower objects (new feature that comes with AL)

BlackOrchid, first let me say how wonderful I think this lot is! You did an amazing job. Second, I think you do an amazing job on ALL your buildings!!!! I am a huge fan and love what you make. Not only is your stuff beautiful, but it is functional, efficient, and well planned!

Having said that, I am sorry to say I have been unable to play any of your lots because I don't have the expansion packs that you do. So, I started making this one myself, following the pictures you posted! Now, I would never dream of taking credit for what you have made, but I was wondering if I could post a more basic version of Diagon Alley on MTS2 for people like me who don't have many EPs. It will be modeled totally after yours and I will give you full credit with lots of links back to you. I was thinking of posting two versions at least, one with just basic Maxis build objects and another with many of the walls and floors you chose (because you have great taste!). If you would like to check out my work and point out any inconsistencies, or even tell me that you would not like me to post a copy, that is okay. It is your work after all. Thanks so much!!!

No, cc are all included. Have you the right CEP version?
If yes, try this: download and overwrite parsimonious' windows and Simsinparis' fireplace and see if the problem keeps on

this is awesome! like harry potter and now this is just another big reason for me to get AL... I want it BAD!!! But really, this is awesome. I tried an in-gam harry potter thing once, but it didn't go so well... this is so good I think I'll use it for a regular apartment!! Well, when I get AL, that is. But again, great job!!

First of all this is just amazing and takes my breath away, what a fantastic lot!

I have a question thats probably very easy and simple, I just wondered how you get a collage of photos AND keep the kbs down on what can be uploaded. Im just wanting to know this as I have something to upload but takes more than the 8 photos and when I try to do the collage thing the lowest I can get it down to is 430kbs and they look tiny at that!

Rome wasn't built in a day

Need help finding building items, check out my building blog https://bestbuilditems4sims2.wordpress.com/

You have only to compress the image with photoshop: do your collage, then click "save for web" and set jpg at 60 or lower Quality.
That's all
