This is a Maxis Recolour which means that it is a recolour of an item that already exists in your game. Please check the Expansion pack requirements to see which game pack it recolours.

This custom content if it is not clothing, may require a seperate download to work properly. This is available at Colour Enable Package (CEP) by Numenor.

This thread may have one or more missing files, due to an old fileserver crash. See here for the details. Want to help? See here for details.

Maxis has some great meshes, but I've never really liked some of their sofa textures (especially the plaid!). So here are 25 recolors of the "Futonesque Fantasy Sofa" and "The Old-Timer Recliner", all are base game compatible and no mesh is needed!

Plain Sofa Set (7 Colors)

Plain Recliner Set (7 Colors)

Leather Sofa Set (5 Colors)

Leather Recliner Set (5 Colors)

You must have the expansion or stuff packs listed below installed to use this custom content. Please see the post text for any exceptions.

Wow! I'm rather stunned. These disgustingly ugly base game meshes, which I wouldn't use if my sims had to live in a mud hut, look really nice with your new textures...dare I hope? You're right - Maxi made some great meshes but then ruined their usefulness by making the textures really ugly and dirty looking. Yours look really bright, clean and pretty! Thanks for this great improvement!!!

Edit: They're not only improvements, they are really beautiful and simple, just my style!!!

Thank you so much for these - there are extension/completer sets out there for both, so this post has effectively given me a lot more living room choices - thank you!

I hate how ugly the plaid patterns were. Thank you so much, I can finally use the sofa and recliner in my game now! =D

Thank you, very nice.
I agree, these would never get used by me until now. :D

Thank you, thank you! I have been looking for some decent recolors on those meshes. Now I can use my completer sets.

This is great! I love this, and I hated the maxis ones too. Great job!

This allows me to see into the minds of people! That's right, I can actually see what they're thinking!
So long as what they're thinking is exactly what I think they're thinking.

I have tried to use the recliner although I've never used the awful sofa. I still don't like the mesh of the sofa, but at least it will get used now. Your textures look great...thanks.

*fusses* Come on people - surely more of you have these files and can upload them again? These are great, I'd really love to have them too! =D

While I didn't download the recolors I do thank you for them! You are correct! I like the maxis furniture a lot but when you can't even put a recliner in because it clashes with the reset of the furniture it becomes unuseful. So this is terrific! Plus I couldn't stand the original colors of this sofa so this really helps out!

Many thanks for these great recolors! As many have said already, Maxis did a great job in choosing the kinds of furniture used, but had horrible taste in colors and textures for some of them. Now I can finally use these in my game! Keep up the great work!

These are gorgeous, but I can't download because of the site mess-up. Too bad, they are really wonderful.

EDIT: I just tried extracting what I wanted from the full download. It didn't give me a page error, so I'm hopeful!

Only the "Maxis recolor" link to download would work. Fixable? These look great!

I can't thank you enough for these! I tried my hand at them myself but my textures didn't look much better than the original ones so I still didn't use the meshes. You have changed that now
