This is a Maxis Recolour which means that it is a recolour of an item that already exists in your game. Please check the Expansion pack requirements to see which game pack it recolours.
Hey
Again a small upload of small but how meaningful items!
I guess most of us, TS3 players, have at least once wondered why the hell did EA make this orchid in such a repulsive colour and made it unrecolourable. It just looked wrong in the majority of interiors. So..I decided to recolour it, because I'm that kinda person for whom everything must fit.
And there you go - a tea colour orchid and a blue orchid. Hope you like it and if you do, please comment or at least click thanks I also appreciate honest constructive feedback.

Mara <damnedcitizen>

Prices
Tea-coloured one - 120$
Blue - 120$

These items are stand-alone, they do not replace anything!

! IMPORTANT ! 09.01.2010: This set of items has been fixed and now works properly with WA and the patch that came with it. You can now safely redownload the fixed items and use them in your game.

Don't forget to Thank the creator after downloading! Use the Thanks button located above the screenshots above.
Quick Guide:

1. Click the file listed on the Files tab to download the file to your computer.
2. Extract the zip, rar, or 7z file. Now you will have either a .package or a .sims3pack file.

For Package files:

1. Cut and paste the file into your Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3\Mods\Packages folder. If you do not already have this folder, you should read the full guide to Package files first: Sims 3:Installing Package Fileswiki, so you can make sure your game is fully patched and you have the correct Resource.cfg file.
2. Run the game, and find your content where the creator said it would be (build mode, buy mode, Create-a-Sim, etc.).

For Sims3Pack files:

1. Cut and paste it into your Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3\Downloads folder. If you do not have this folder yet, it is recommended that you open the game and then close it again so that this folder will be automatically created. Then you can place the .sims3pack into your Downloads folder.
2. Load the game's Launcher, and click on the Downloads tab. Find the item in the list and tick the box beside it. Then press the Install button below the list.
3. Wait for the installer to load, and it will install the content to the game. You will get a message letting you know when it's done.
4. Run the game, and find your content where the creator said it would be (build mode, buy mode, Create-a-Sim, etc.).

Extracting from RAR, ZIP, or 7z: You will need a special program for this. For Windows, we recommend 7-Zip and for Mac OSX, we recommend Keka. Both are free and safe to use.

I didn't mind the original colour much, but variety is *always* appreciated. Thanks so much.

What someone needs to do is figure out how to make certain objects recolorable in-game, especially plants (I don't know if it's possible, but it would be awesome!). Until then though, these are great! Thanks!

a totally new one, just a derivative from the old one. it doesn't replace anything

policolor - I will make a white recolour, but only if I make a new set. right now candles are a priority...oops, I spilled the beans

I do not suffer from insanity...I enjoy every minute of it!

Yay! Thank you! I've been waiting for a longe time for those! It was a pity Ea did not put ANY recolours for it!

If you love something, let it go. If it comes back to you, it's yours. If it's run over by a car, you don't want it.

While I do think the original color is nice, these recolors are great as well. Orchids do come in more than one shade, after all.

I second the person above who requested white. That's one of my favorite orchid colors irl.

Oh, glad to hear you're working on candles! Why did EA make the wall candles recolorable, but not the mood candle? 0.o

Thanks so much for these! I'll be using them immediately. As always, looking forward to your future endeavors. ^_^
