This is a Maxis Recolour which means that it is a recolour of an item that already exists in your game. Please check the Expansion pack requirements to see which game pack it recolours.
Picked Upload! This is a picked upload! It showcases some of the best talent and creativity available on MTS and in the community.
This is my first recolor. I made recolors of the spa, bistro, grocery and the bookstore in a old english tudor style. I originally made these for my own use to my old english town so that they would fit in better, but then I decided to share if anyone wants them.

You can find the rabbitholes in buildmode/community when editing a community lot.

These do not replace the old rabbitholes

You must have the expansion or stuff packs listed below installed to use this custom content. Please see the post text for any exceptions.

Don't forget to Thank the creator after downloading! Use the Thanks button located above the screenshots above.
Quick Guide:

1. Click the file listed on the Files tab to download the file to your computer.
2. Extract the zip, rar, or 7z file. Now you will have either a .package or a .sims3pack file.

For Package files:

1. Cut and paste the file into your Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3\Mods\Packages folder. If you do not already have this folder, you should read the full guide to Package files first: Sims 3:Installing Package Fileswiki, so you can make sure your game is fully patched and you have the correct Resource.cfg file.
2. Run the game, and find your content where the creator said it would be (build mode, buy mode, Create-a-Sim, etc.).

For Sims3Pack files:

1. Cut and paste it into your Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3\Downloads folder. If you do not have this folder yet, it is recommended that you open the game and then close it again so that this folder will be automatically created. Then you can place the .sims3pack into your Downloads folder.
2. Load the game's Launcher, and click on the Downloads tab. Find the item in the list and tick the box beside it. Then press the Install button below the list.
3. Wait for the installer to load, and it will install the content to the game. You will get a message letting you know when it's done.
4. Run the game, and find your content where the creator said it would be (build mode, buy mode, Create-a-Sim, etc.).

Extracting from RAR, ZIP, or 7z: You will need a special program for this. For Windows, we recommend 7-Zip and for Mac OSX, we recommend Keka. Both are free and safe to use.

These are great -- and just what I need for the next world I am planning (if I ever finish the one I am working on.) I tried to do this for myself, by the cloner kept crashing on me and I wasn't sure if it was my PC or the object itself. Now that I know its possible, I will keep trying!

THANK YOU!! I truly hated the garish colors EA made these in, and I've been looking for something like this. Great work really, thank you!

Oh this is fantastic - just what I need for my fantasy town instead of EA's garish defaults. Thank you!

Shouldn't the lowermost level be brick? I thought the siding was always a bit above brick.

I didnt know you could recolor the rabbit holes, though. That's awesome.

Do you think (maybe, pleazeee!) you could do some more? Or tutorial on doing it ourselves? I'd love to have them in stucco/desert style, or consistently themed at least.

I'm making a desert city in CAW and i'm getting concerned about how this city will look with all the buildings. O___o

Party up in here! BYOO!! Bring Your Own Overalls!!!

I was really pissed off when i heard that these were just like sets on a movie rather than acctual houses, they really took the easy way out on that one...EAxis, not you.
