This apartment block is inspired by British council housing in the 1930s-50s, when low-rise, modernist blocks were built all around Britain, before councils moved onto high-rise blocks in the 1960s.

I've furnished all the flats, and would throughly recommemd you download the following mod to allow your Sims to rent furnished flats;

Enable "Rent Furnished Apartment" Outside of Debug Mode by thetechnosim

http://www.modthesims.info/download.php?t=325824

I've tried to make each flat have a different feel;

Flat 1- Old fashioned, probably a couple who have lived there for about 40 years
Flat 2- A young family
Flat 3- 2 trendy house-shares
Flat 4- Arty couple, who've furnished the house with a collection of junk-shop finds

Rents;
Flat 1 2619
Flat 2 2629
Flat 3 2752
Flat 4 2511

I put a small playground at the back, and there are 2 parking spaces at the front

EDIT: Someone contacted me to tell me it lot wasn't flat in their game (see comments). I'm not sure if it's a general problem - it was a flat lot and the Mods didn't pick up on it, but I'm abroad so I can't download it to check. If anyone else has a problem, can they let me know?!

Basic Download and Install Instructions:

1. Download: Click the download link to save the .rar or .zip file(s) to your computer.

2. Extract the zip, rar, or 7z file.

3. Install: Double-click on the .sims2pack file to install its contents to your game. The files will automatically be installed to the proper location(s).
  • You may want to use the Sims2Pack Clean Installer instead of the game's installer, which will let you install sims and pets which may otherwise give errors about needing expansion packs. It also lets you choose what included content to install. Do NOT use Clean Installer to get around this error with lots and houses as that can cause your game to crash when attempting to use that lot. Get S2PCI here: Clean Installer Official Site.

This is the style of modernist building that I love! Well done on an excellent creation!

When I first saw this I was convinced that you had used cc to achieve its contemporary look, well, looks can certainly be deceiving. Beautiful job with nicely flowing floor plans. Great work, thank you!

I really like this. The outside is a great take on modern but without going to far. And the fact that you haven't used any CC is a major plus. Thank you very much for sharing!

I'd like to "warn" others that this lot is not flat. I just placed in a fresh hood, and it warped the roads, as the back is almost an entire floor above the rest of the ground. It looks great on the outside, but you should be aware that it's not flat.
