This is a new mesh, and means that it's a brand new self contained object that usually does not require a specific Expansion pack (although this is possible depending on the type). It may have Recolours hosted on MTS - check below the description for more information.
It's a plane! This set includes 3 objects, the Lockheed Flyable plane, the Lockheed drivable plane for on roads, and a helicopter pad for the flyable plane.

Each plane costs $100,000, and the helipad is $150. The planes have two recolorable parts:the main body and the seat.

Notes/Issues:
-Planes are designed for one sim to drive at a time.
-The Helipad is not recolorable.
-Plane wheels don't animate.
-Sims sit through their seats.
-Plane shadows are a little wonky.
-For the flyable plane, place a driveway down first, then buy your plane and put it in your driveway. Then use "moveobjects on" to place the helipad.

Hopefully these issues wont turn too many of you away to download this. I appreciate and welcome any comments! Enjoy!

Planes can be found in vehicles section, and helicopter pad can be found in Decor.\Misc.

Polygon Counts:
Both Planes:
Faces: 20,195 , Vertices: 27,256

Helicopter Pad:
Faces: 168 , Vertices: 220

Don't forget to Thank the creator after downloading! Use the Thanks button located above the screenshots above.
Quick Guide:

1. Click the file listed on the Files tab to download the file to your computer.
2. Extract the zip, rar, or 7z file. Now you will have either a .package or a .sims3pack file.

For Package files:

1. Cut and paste the file into your Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3\Mods\Packages folder. If you do not already have this folder, you should read the full guide to Package files first: Sims 3:Installing Package Fileswiki, so you can make sure your game is fully patched and you have the correct Resource.cfg file.
2. Run the game, and find your content where the creator said it would be (build mode, buy mode, Create-a-Sim, etc.).

For Sims3Pack files:

1. Cut and paste it into your Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3\Downloads folder. If you do not have this folder yet, it is recommended that you open the game and then close it again so that this folder will be automatically created. Then you can place the .sims3pack into your Downloads folder.
2. Load the game's Launcher, and click on the Downloads tab. Find the item in the list and tick the box beside it. Then press the Install button below the list.
3. Wait for the installer to load, and it will install the content to the game. You will get a message letting you know when it's done.
4. Run the game, and find your content where the creator said it would be (build mode, buy mode, Create-a-Sim, etc.).

Extracting from RAR, ZIP, or 7z: You will need a special program for this. For Windows, we recommend 7-Zip and for Mac OSX, we recommend Keka. Both are free and safe to use.

On his site he has some more pictures. He's been building San Andreas, I believe. It looks good, I can't wait for him to finish it. I sound like a total stalker right now. Shutting up.

Just tried it out - great idea! I wonder how you got the 'flyable' version to work? I wanted to do that with my UFO, but the sims stayed sitting at car level rather than transport higher up into the air where the UFO was! (Must require some extra coding, which is probably beyond me!) Great work, will be really good for storytelling.

@Fresh-prince I can't believe you pulled this off. When I mentioned it in the VC thread I said it'd never happen. I never asked for, or expected you to actually pull it off. Your amazing .

F-P, your awesomeness continues to astound! This is absolutely great and I can't wait to test it on a Sim. Love the background - will have to check creator feedback to see how the Vice City project is coming along. Thanks for another great vehicle! Love them all and now there's another choice to complicate the selection!

Wow! This is amazing! So pretty! And it doesn't have that 'pattern' look on the texture either that so many sims3 objects suffer from!

So cool! It looks great in the driveway and even better driving down the road.

My cat taught me how to fetch. I throw the toy, she shows me where it landed, and I fetch it.

for those people that have successfully used the flyable plane in-game, how did you do it exactly?

i placed the parking space first, then bought the flyable plane and parked it on the space, only the planes shadow was visible. but when i went to Decor/Misc there wasnt a helipad to pick, so i dont know where it could be. i also had "moveobjects on".

Update: Nevermind, i found the Helipad, the Icon for the pad looks like a high chair and its very easy to overlook it!

awesome addition, FP!
