Picked Upload! This is a picked upload! It showcases some of the best talent and creativity available on MTS and in the community.
The old widow became quite wealthy due to her husbands inheritance and has been living alone in the Crumplebottom residence ever since he died. Over the years she became quite quirky and other than her cat she has no other company.
Mrs. Crumplebottom is very fond of music (you can hear her playing on the piano in the evening) and her well sorted wine cellar. She likes playing poker a lot, and if the weather is fine you find her sitting in the garden by the little pond, watching over her beloved garden gnome.
The house is very old and because of Mrs. Crumblebottom's detest of modern things, you won't find any telephone, dishwasher or computer there.
It has a kitchen, living room, small reading room, formal dining room, three bedrooms and a total of four bathrooms.
In the attic is another room which is currently used by Mrs. Crumplebottom for sewing and knitting, but could also be converted into a bedroom/nursery (There are some old toys and furniture in the lumber-room in the cellar).

Furnished, playtested (with Mrs. Crumplebottom ) and no custom content!

Enjoy playing!

Basic Download and Install Instructions:

1. Download: Click the download link to save the .rar or .zip file(s) to your computer.

2. Extract the zip, rar, or 7z file.

3. Install: Double-click on the .sims2pack file to install its contents to your game. The files will automatically be installed to the proper location(s).
  • You may want to use the Sims2Pack Clean Installer instead of the game's installer, which will let you install sims and pets which may otherwise give errors about needing expansion packs. It also lets you choose what included content to install. Do NOT use Clean Installer to get around this error with lots and houses as that can cause your game to crash when attempting to use that lot. Get S2PCI here: Clean Installer Official Site.

You have really helped me understand Mrs. Crumplebottom better! I used to get so mad at her when she would spoil the hot dates my sims were on! The tour of her house is fascinating!

Wow. It's very obvious that you put A LOT of time and effort into this! It has so much character. Just by seeing the home you can already predict what type of woman Mrs. Crumplebottom is.

Times like this I REALLY wish I had Bon Voyage, Apartment Life, and Free Time. :/

But I still wanted to leave a comment about how nicely-made this home is!

It's beautiful! Sitting in the city lot, surrounded by modern buildings makes me think of the little old home in Up and the house that Dom and Mal built in their dreams in their dream city in Inception.

I would love to see this in the country on a great parcel of land. Crumplebottoms were real-estate magnates and, in my fantasy, Mrs. C. would not just be weathy, but land rich as well.

A great old town house that's the last left of its kind, surrounded by the modern age, oh, I love it! Squee!~ Reminds me of Up, where they were trying to tear down his house.

Thank you so much for all your comments!
Have seen Up, too and think that they are just waiting for Mrs. Crumplebottom to leave this last old house in Downtown, so they can build a new one.
But you can put it in the countryside as well and easily enlarge the lot with the lotadjuster, I think
In the first place I had wanted to make a picture story about the old lady, but I hadn't quite the idea yet... but if you do and maybe use this house, let me know- I'd love to read it!
enjoy, Stoffel
