This is a new mesh recolour, and means that you will need to download the particular mesh itself in order for this to show up in your game. See the Meshes Needed section or read the text for more information.
Have you seen the tiny calendars (paintings) that came with Pets? I don`t like them because
1st) they are too small and
2nd) they are always showing the same picture and units of time

I was inspired to create my own landscape calendar sheets which are big enough to be readable by the Sims and the player in front of the screen.
The calendar sheets are based on the original USA calendar for the year 2012 with some holidays and dates marked in red. Of course, they are written in Simlish. The pictures are showing 12 different landscapes from the original neighborhoods from The Sims 3.

These paintings are base game compatible and shiftable if you have the EDIT: Late Night and not Apartment Life expansion pack.
You`ll find the calendar sheets at Decorative - Wall Hangings and they cost just 3 simoleons each. BTW, this is ONE painting (one mesh) with 12 presets.

Don't forget to Thank the creator after downloading! Use the Thanks button located above the screenshots above.
Quick Guide:

1. Click the file listed on the Files tab to download the file to your computer.
2. Extract the zip, rar, or 7z file. Now you will have either a .package or a .sims3pack file.

For Package files:

1. Cut and paste the file into your Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3\Mods\Packages folder. If you do not already have this folder, you should read the full guide to Package files first: Sims 3:Installing Package Fileswiki, so you can make sure your game is fully patched and you have the correct Resource.cfg file.
2. Run the game, and find your content where the creator said it would be (build mode, buy mode, Create-a-Sim, etc.).

For Sims3Pack files:

1. Cut and paste it into your Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3\Downloads folder. If you do not have this folder yet, it is recommended that you open the game and then close it again so that this folder will be automatically created. Then you can place the .sims3pack into your Downloads folder.
2. Load the game's Launcher, and click on the Downloads tab. Find the item in the list and tick the box beside it. Then press the Install button below the list.
3. Wait for the installer to load, and it will install the content to the game. You will get a message letting you know when it's done.
4. Run the game, and find your content where the creator said it would be (build mode, buy mode, Create-a-Sim, etc.).

Extracting from RAR, ZIP, or 7z: You will need a special program for this. For Windows, we recommend 7-Zip and for Mac OSX, we recommend Keka. Both are free and safe to use.

This is a TS3 download, right? Apartment Life was the last TS2 EP.

It's definitely TS3 guys, the stuff in the pictures has been CASTed Plus I recognize the carpet, I have in my legacy house right now Unless there's a wicker basket recycling bin in TS2
Super cute, I'm not risking installing until I get my pets (and 1.26 patch) working again, but super duper cute

Thanks for all the comments. This is a Sims 3 download and I`m sorry for the confusion with the expansion pack (AL). It`s basegame compatible and you don`t need Pets. The paintings are shiftable, if you have Late Night installed.

Agreed. I love the design of these calendars, but the scale seems a little exaggerated to me--I'd definitely use them if they were smaller. Anyway, nice work!
