This is a new mesh recolour, and means that you will need to download the particular mesh itself in order for this to show up in your game. See the Meshes Needed section or read the text for more information.
Many years ago I introduced the hopscotch in the Sims 3 game. It was then just a decoration. Apparently EA thought that it was a good idea and introduced it in Generations and made it works very nice with many animations, memories, etc. Sims likes to use the hopscotch very much and use it often without having to ask.
However, I don't like the layout of the game hopscotch. Usually it just so that the children themselves draw up the hopscotch. I do not like the big, gray rectangle, but I think it is like a rug or something.
So this is a simplified version but I have also put in EA's layout. You can select it as a color variation or change the appearance with CAST tool.

You can place the hopscotch on every type of lot.

Where can you find it and how much will it cost?

The hopscotch is named SimpleHopscotch in game and cost only $10 and you find it in the same section as the EA hopscotch in the Entertainment - Hobbies and Kids - Toys. You can't see anything in the picture because the object is so thin and the picture looks empty. But it is there and it is the first object in the catalog as it is the cheapest.

The hopscotch have only two faces and four verticles.

Don't forget to Thank the creator after downloading! Use the Thanks button located above the screenshots above.
Quick Guide:

1. Click the file listed on the Files tab to download the file to your computer.
2. Extract the zip, rar, or 7z file. Now you will have either a .package or a .sims3pack file.

For Package files:

1. Cut and paste the file into your Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3\Mods\Packages folder. If you do not already have this folder, you should read the full guide to Package files first: Sims 3:Installing Package Fileswiki, so you can make sure your game is fully patched and you have the correct Resource.cfg file.
2. Run the game, and find your content where the creator said it would be (build mode, buy mode, Create-a-Sim, etc.).

For Sims3Pack files:

1. Cut and paste it into your Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3\Downloads folder. If you do not have this folder yet, it is recommended that you open the game and then close it again so that this folder will be automatically created. Then you can place the .sims3pack into your Downloads folder.
2. Load the game's Launcher, and click on the Downloads tab. Find the item in the list and tick the box beside it. Then press the Install button below the list.
3. Wait for the installer to load, and it will install the content to the game. You will get a message letting you know when it's done.
4. Run the game, and find your content where the creator said it would be (build mode, buy mode, Create-a-Sim, etc.).

Extracting from RAR, ZIP, or 7z: You will need a special program for this. For Windows, we recommend 7-Zip and for Mac OSX, we recommend Keka. Both are free and safe to use.

You ma'am, are a genius. That's why they stole your idea and you got squat for it... and continue to correct their mistakes.. Kudos to you!

Thank you for this! In order to use the hopscotch outdoors I've been recoloring the rug to mimic the "drawn on ground with chalk" look. Trying to get a match to the surrounding pavement/tile has been a pain. It may seem like a small thing, but this is something I will definitely get use out of.

This is what the hopscotch should have looked like all along. Thanks for making it so!

Yes, the numbers are more like a child would draw. Yes, more ease of use - simple! SIMplified. Simple as that. Thank you.

Yey! I've been a bit against using the hopscotch since it looked like a mat/rug you use indoors, but this is perfect for using outside~

Looks much more realistic, well done, thank you!

Seriously, who uses "stencils" for their hopscotch layout, EA?

Love it. Just like I used to draw when I was a kid (only neater!). Thanks.

Thanks, TashaFaun. I was starting to feel a little butthurt when I saw this.

Mine is a little sloppier, like a kid drew it, and Lisen's is neater like... well, like I could never draw hopscotch So you have some more options now.

Sorry if you feel insulted, it was not the intention. I had not seen your nice hopscotch when I did this. Sure, I would have searsed more carefully before I published this. Now I see that there are many hopscotch out there. However, nobody is older than the one I published earlier. I had no idea of exclusivity, when I published my hopscotch back in 2010 and think we will see many similar in the future.

Sorry, I don't think so. The animations and all the actions come with Generations.
I think EA makes a great job with it!

Your hopscotch is fantastic! I spent ages trying to re-colour the game hopscotch mat to blend into the flooring but this means I don't need to! It looks just like the hopscotch grid my sister and I drew outside our house to play on.
