Picked Upload! This is a picked upload! It showcases some of the best talent and creativity available on MTS and in the community.
I really like Craftsman style columns, so I played around with the half walls that came with Mansion & Garden stuff (I think?) and this is what I came up with.

This home has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, and can comfortably fit up to 3 sims.

It has a kitchen, living, dining, study and powder room downstairs, and 2 bedrooms and 1 bathroom (which has a separate toilet area) upstairs.

Outside it has a detached garage, a basketball court, and the back porch has a chess table and a barbeque area.

It costs $114,697 and sits on a 3x3 lot.

Totally optional downloads (seen in screenshots but not necessary for the lot):

- White Roof Trim Defaults by Phaenoh

- Grey Default Floor Edge by psychosim

- Maxis Bedding Replacements by HystericalParoxysm

- White Default Wall Edge by Maranatah

Enjoy!

Basic Download and Install Instructions:

1. Download: Click the download link to save the .rar or .zip file(s) to your computer.

2. Extract the zip, rar, or 7z file.

3. Install: Double-click on the .sims2pack file to install its contents to your game. The files will automatically be installed to the proper location(s).
  • You may want to use the Sims2Pack Clean Installer instead of the game's installer, which will let you install sims and pets which may otherwise give errors about needing expansion packs. It also lets you choose what included content to install. Do NOT use Clean Installer to get around this error with lots and houses as that can cause your game to crash when attempting to use that lot. Get S2PCI here: Clean Installer Official Site.

Oh wow, this is so lovely! I love Craftsman style houses, too! In fact, this sort of reminds me of the Craftsman-style that was uploaded within the last month or two here at MTS2 for TS3! I am curious, though. Were you able to use the half-walls with the foundation as a cover? Or is the porch a stage foundation?

Very nice house sarah*rose. I'm curious how you did the half wall with foundation too!

Thanks for the comments everyone!

I made a rudimentary drawing in Paint.NET to try to illustrate how I did the half wall porch:

Not to scale, of course. The fence goes on the flooring.
