This is a new mesh, and means that it's a brand new self contained object that usually does not require a specific Expansion pack (although this is possible depending on the type). It may have Recolours hosted on MTS - check below the description for more information.

Have you noticed that in TS2 there are no outdoor wall lamps? Yes, you can put an indoor sconce out of your front door, but the result it's not nice, in my opinion.

So, though 3D modeling is absolutely not my preferred subject , I've created this outdoor metal lantern.
The lamp has two recolourable parts, and each comes in two colours: a dark rusty brown frame coupled with a yellow glass, and a white frame coupled with a white glass.

Additional recolours for the frame and/or the glass can be created in the usual way (Object Workshop); note that the glass is textureless, and can be recoloured only editing the Material Definition.

Maybe not but you did a nice job with it... I also checked out your 14' wall mount T.V., that also came out nice...

I agree with the fact that Maxis really didn't cover this item as good as it could have been... I guess thats what we are here for though...

Nice job and thanks for sharing your work with us...

Wow, 276 downloads in the first 6 hours... I didn't think people needed a lamp like this that much!
Thank you for your kind words.

JWOODS: my abilities in 3D modeling are limited to actual editing... If you haven't noticed, a larg part of the lamp is taken from the Buckaroo fence lamp, the support was ripped from another model I found on 3D Café and the bulb is taken from an indoor sconce. Let's say I'm a master in collages

STEEL89: Ciao, è bello leggere qualche parola in italiano, di tanto in tanto :D
(OK, for non-italian curious people, it simply means: "It's nice to read some italian words, every now and then")

I've finally started my Journal. Information only, no questions.
