This is a new mesh, and means that it's a brand new self contained object that usually does not require a specific Expansion pack (although this is possible depending on the type). It may have Recolours hosted on MTS - check below the description for more information.
Picked Upload! This is a picked upload! It showcases some of the best talent and creativity available on MTS and in the community.
could you help me test these?
someone requested music accessories so he could make videos
these objects are purely decorative, they serve no other purpose than to make your band look good
I’m still working on a puzzle system for putting cables on the floor. Once I've figured that one out, I’ll post them here.
All made with Milkshape, UVMapper, Sims2Meshtool and SimPE Amp (mesh extracted from the bass instrument):
Poly count, 1370
300 simoleons, room score 3

Big Amp (mesh from the bass instrument, but huge ):
Poly count, 907
500 simoleons, room score 3

Tabletop PA, Mixer thingy (I don't claim to know anything about this sort of stuff, but it has sliders and buttons to play with)
Poly count, 686
500 simoleons, room score 5

Music stand with sheet music
Poly count, 2770
100 simoleons, room score 1

Poly count, 2900
100 simoleons, room score 1

All of the above:
- come with catalog entries in German (courtesy of the wonderful besen, thank you!), Dutch, French and English. Find them in Decorative/Statues.
- are recolorable, the music stand and sheet can be recoloured separately
- should work in both versions of the game. Please let me know if there’s a problem
- have unique GUID’s, they should not overwrite anything

You are free to recolour, hack, fiddle with these objects, as long as you give credit, link to the mesh in this thread and tell me all about it.
If you want to post the mesh anywhere, please ask me first.
Please do not put any of these objects in a downloadable lot.
I like to see my work in action, so if you do make movies with them, don’t hesitate to tell me

Enjoy! All comments, advice and criticism are appreciated.

Thank you!
I've been waiting for these kind of things that were from TS1.
I heard that a usable turntable will be availible in the nightlife expansion.
Then we can really have some parties!

Is this for UNI only or for sims 2 also with out UNI?

By the way this is very beautiful. Great work
#21 Old 1st Jun 2005 at 11:59 PM
as they said above, it should work with both sims 2 and uni so you can play it without it... my guess is that the giant amp wont work because it was cloned from the bass (which we dont have sims 2 [without uni])

errrr, sry for the double post but...... its kinda too bad that the poly count is so high, hope it doesnt slow down my game...

as I said, it should work in both versions of the game.
the amps aren't actually cloned from the bass. I just extracted the mesh.
all of these are, in fact, cloned from the apple statue or the flower vase. non-ep-objects
but if you do have trouble with them, please let me know
