do the files just go in the downloads folder like everything else?

HUGE Thank you ... the roofs are the worst feature of the entire building aspect of the game .... contributions such as this make it a little more bearable ... now if someone could fingure out how to change the degree of pitch...... (wanders off grumbling but happily clutching new roof file to virtual bosom.)

Thanks guys Yes, the file just goes into downloads. I have mine in a working folder in there, so they can go into subfolders too.

Great job! Maxis never gives enough rooves. Would be nice to have some other colors. Like maybe green or blue. Can they be recolored?

mismugs, these are just recolors of one of the original roofs in the game. You can follow the tutorial linked in the first post and make your own too.
BTW, the tent roof is a green roof.

Thanx to whoever started this color enabling business for the roofs...I really *hated* the selection that shipped with the game. Now, is it possible for someone to undertake the task of making a plain white roof...maybe with some kind of pattern? Not a snow covered roof...just a white one. I really would *luv* one if it's at all possible.=)

FYI...tabbysgranhag-I don't know if you've gotten it yet-but there is a cheatcode for Nightlife that allows you to change the pitch of the rooves
using ctrl+shift+c

roofslopeangel [15-75] (the numbers of course being the angle you want to change the slope too )

thought you'd like to know :D
