I can't find the bookcase in my game, do i need to have University to use it?

The bookcase is found in "hobbies" or under "study" then hobbies... It was cloned from an original bookcase and not an E.P. object... If the other objects show up in-game it is just a matter of you locating it... The other objects won't show up without it...
